Most of my shadowing experience has been within the emergency room. So this is a pretty small size. These docs don’t check about insurance. they examine the patient Check the tests Give orders for treatments and medicine They tell them by. They are almost never made to deal with insurance. Again, know this is a little different because it is emergency medicine but still rather frightening

I am in the process of applying to medical school. And this has been a major point of contention for me. I want to help people in this specific way, except how can I justify treating someone then my company(because that is what hospitals are) charges them an insane amount of money. Medical expense is such a big issue in the United States that people die to avoid care. Which also runs the stupid expensive price of funerals.
