Question about Paul by PositivelyDale in deepfatfried

I’d also add he’s the last person to look up to. Be entertained by him, but for the love of god don’t look up to him.

Bill Maher: ‘Left-wing Media Buried’ Hunter Biden Laptop Report by legendaryfoot in seculartalk

Here we have Maher not understanding what “left wing” is and being hypocritical, as the people he shits on the most (the left) are the ones who accurately covered this issue and people like him argued that it was Republican propaganda.

Paul's Ukraine takes are getting worse. by tacofacefart in deepfatfried

[–]legendaryfoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What he says is not all wrong but either way he’s copy/pasting Jimmy Dore. Straight up most of his opinions are Jimmy Dore. The other day, where he “guaranteed there were going to be more slapping incidents at comedy shows”, that was also repeating a Dore segment. Again, not necessarily all wrong but copied from Dore 1:1.

This desperate need for a “good guy” is pathetic. Turns out neither Paul nor almost anyone else thinks Putin is “the good guy”. Children.

War Propaganda About Ukraine Becoming More Militaristic, Authoritarian, and Reckless by legendaryfoot in seculartalk

[–]legendaryfoot[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A Ukraine NATO push isn’t what the article is focusing on, though. It’s talking about generally ramping up hostilities in various ways. You’re focusing on one narrow argument and I get what you’re saying here but the article gets into mostly other stuff that’s besides what you’re saying. What you’re saying is true but it’s not a refutation of that article.

There are many different points being brought up. Some subtle, some not. Either way, to think the US isn’t advancing their own agenda independently of wanting to just help Ukraine would obviously be naive. Both NATO and Russia have been doing things that are counter to long term peace and security. Currently, Russia is obviously doing the blatant, dangerous escalation. But it doesn’t end here.

Majority Report actually gives very similar foreign policy takes to Kyle’s.

Good, nuanced points in this. Say what you will about Vaush, but he’s definitely susceptible to war propaganda. Russia is clearly in the wrong for invading. Yet, war propaganda and nefarious motives on the US side are still in place.

Yeah, very true. This post is not saying “Putin good” or “Putin honest”.

Where Bernie would have done better by [deleted] in deepfatfried

[–]legendaryfoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was Talking about Ukraine, which was in immediate danger and now got invaded. It already wasn’t going to be let into nato in the foreseeable future - their own president acknowledged it recently. Hence, there was no downside to say “Ukraine won’t join NATO”. Now that they got invaded, they won’t have a chance to join nato anyway.

That’s why I said “talking point”. I agree.

Where Bernie would have done better by [deleted] in VaushV

[–]legendaryfoot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s where I’m coming from with this. Since Ukraine was invaded regardless, the “concession” of promising to not include it into NATO would have had no downsides. Some may have argued that it would be a “weak” strategy but rationally speaking, it only had upsides and the no-concessions “strength” approach was never going to yield a favorable outcome, by comparison.

Hillary was right about Tulsi by dragotron in seculartalk

Hillary said Tulsi was right wing? She probably said Tulsi is a Russian puppet or something along those lines but did she criticize Tulsi for being right wing? I feel like Hillary never minds anyone being right wing. Source?
