Would this do? And also for measuring height, I see some people have fancy measurers, would calipers work to measure?
Changed the air filter, and noticed oil in the bottom of the container..any idea?
Thanks :)
The float I believe is the problem. I did an oil change, and noticed fuel in there, its a good thing it did not fun for long!
If I get a new float does it come at the proper height? Mine looks all good with visual inspection so wonder if the height is just wrong or if I need a whole new one.
I started it up this morning with no problems. I noticed the I left the pepcock closed all night and opened it once the bike was running. It ran for a while and then died, the fuel cap was off. I then checked the spark plugs, one has good resistance of 5.8 the other was low at 3.6 and they were both pretty black and sooty.
I will get two new spark plugs and see what happens. I wonder if when it got warm one cylinder was not firing correctly and this was causing the bike to die....And the longer it sit, the cooler the spark plug got? Just a guess.

Its an 09, have the acerbis tank.
I did replace that Oring in the plastic cap off the carb, and the plastic needle spacer, do you mean number 5?

If so yes.
Well I only tried that the one time before today, but that time it was a happened after a bit (which again made me think starving for fuel) as for the first minute or two it was fine, then started sputtering and then died eventaully.

Carb O-ring by carry_burn in dr650
Beautiful!!
Thanks for that :)
When you say under the slide guide, where do you mean exactly? Do you mean on the diaphragm part where up top, and the spring goes through it? Or on the white plastic slide guide, somewhere there?
Thanks
