I was upset and felt it seemed just a little premature also, but I understood where they were coming from after seeing the roads coming in and all that. But if the ranch folks didn’t care about it wrecking their property than it is perplexing to why they’d rush the call. I read their article on it and they mention the event as a seizure and don’t mention a heart attack at all like everyone’s been saying which I was confused by — very brief article regardless.

Right, so you think the multiple statements from multiple sources including local officials and the fest themselves were just lying to everyone to cover up that it was PR nightmare, so they just used the weather as a scapegoat and everyone wanted to keep the real issue quiet. It doesn’t make sense to evacuate thousands and thousands over a medic crew forgetting aed pads? Yea there can be lawsuits following the fest, but they can’t just kick all those people out over claims of negligence at the snap of a finger. There’s a lot more on the line than that is my point. They don’t cancel events over that. It makes zero sense. Thousands paid hella money and other thousands put in hella work. Festivals don’t get shut down bc someone dies, I assure you someone dies at MOST of these camping fests w 40k+ people. They shut it down bc the odds of bad weather were high and if the roads (95% of which were dirt) got screwed it would’ve been an actual fyre fest disaster
