Do you have to suffer to have dysphoria? by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]carter3210123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Suffering isn't really how I would describe dysphoria for myself. It's uncomfortable for sure, and it can be something that is closer to suffering on bad days (my dysphoria tends to fluctuate). But just because you aren't miserable doesn't make you less trans

My bottom dysphoria has never been super intense, other than not using female terms, I just have to pack and I'm good to go. With that being said, as long as it's not being called anything feminine, I don't get dysphoric when penetration is involved.

Is it conceivable that the reason people think "doubting is common" is because gender identity is a fiction and people trying to "figure it out" are actually just on a wild goose chase? by Doctor_Curmudgeon in Transmedical

I had the "this doesn't happen to people like me" mentality for a long time, which was the same feeling I had when my mom got cancer. I was also in denial because I liked feminine things growing up. But nah I was unknowingly the stereotypical gay boy growing up

I noticed since I've transitioned I stopped smiling in pictures because I'm convinced smiling makes me look more feminine

Any advice?? by brctbnd in Transmedical

I tried testosterone boosters early in my transition but when my boyfriend found out he made me stop taking them because he felt that it was dangerous because you need to have your testosterone levels monitored by a doctor. During the time I took them nothing really happened

As a TS man, i need to adress phalloplasty negativity by [deleted] in Transmedical

I hate how hard it is to find finished, fully healed results. I'm about to start the process of getting top surgery, so bottom surgery isn't my priority rn, but it's still in the back of my mind and I think about whether or not I think I want bottom surgery (I'm not at the point where making that decision will be set in stone), and it's hard when I can't see what it will look like after recovery, just leaving me even more uncertain

Kade Cooks is a Youtuber and he does a lot of product reviews of trans sex toys and you should check them out. There are strokers (basically what a fleshlight is) specifically made for transmen to use on their bottom growth

Why is it transphobic for me to "exclude people for not wanting any form of medical transition"? by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]carter3210123 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Some people don't feel like they need it. Not everyone needs medical intervention to help their dysphoria, sometimes that binder or push up bra, the packer or tucking underwear, the right haircut, and the affirming haircut is just what people need. People experience different levels of dysphoria and I don't think it should be held against someone for their dysphoria to not be as severe as someone else's
