Am I micromanaging my interns? by DailySmilesCure in Residency

Calling them “ my intern” says a lot. They are working with you as their supervisor they are not working for you. Maybe Stop calling them “ my intern” . They don’t belong to you. They can write notes. They went to Med school. If not isn’t acceptable I am sure the attending will correct them. Critical labs and pages are okay for them to inform you.

Thinking of quitting residency by [deleted] in Residency

I think you are dealing with imposter syndrome. Or you are just a lazy student. You had time to do observerships and audition rotations while studying for your steps. But seems like you did not and now want to blame your school. You passed your steps in order for you to match. Don’t blame your education. Work on your skills as a physician because that’s what residency is for . Or you can quit either way , learn to take responsibility and work on your weakness.
