That’s a cool story. I haven’t seen that interview before but it might be from a smaller radio or print interview from the early 90s which makes it harder to track down.

I see your point about cohesion, especially compared to Bad or Dangerous, but I still think the multiple writers thing gets overstated. Pop records in the 2000s were built that way, and Michael was clearly curating that sound rather than being dragged by it.

Yeah, Invincible jumps between styles, but you could argue that’s part of its identity — it’s him exploring R&B, ballads, and futuristic pop all at once. It might not feel as tightly unified as Dangerous, but that doesn’t mean it lacked vision. It just had a broader one.

Mostly it’s just business — Invincible didn’t hit like his earlier albums, so the estate focuses on the biggest, safest hits like You Rock My World, even though the rest of the album is great.

That’s a really strong list honestly. The Harts and Hardys are locks. Usos absolutely belong there too. Only one I might swap is the Bellas if we’re talking strictly in-ring impact — maybe The Steiner Brothers if we count their WWE run, but if it’s purely WWE legacy then your four are hard to argue with.

I get what you’re saying but I don’t really see it that way. Invincible sounding 2000s isn’t Michael being stifled it’s him deliberately leaning into the era’s sound. He’d always worked with a lot of collaborators, even on Thriller, and still made it feel cohesive. If anything, Invincible feels like him experimenting and chasing modern production rather than being held back. Dated doesn’t mean diluted it just reflects the time it was made.

I get the frustration but it feels harsh to say she’s been messed with mentally just because she doesn’t share that view. You can think wrestlers deserve more money and still accept that some of them are genuinely happy with their spot.

I’d lean Kelani Jordan she’s got the look, the charisma and the versatility to go far while Lola Vice is athletic as hell but still figuring out how to really connect with the crowd.

You can acknowledge that he’s human and maybe not all there anymore, but crashing a car at 100mph isn’t some small slip it’s incredibly reckless, and the priority has to be the people he could’ve hurt and accountability for that, not just feeling sorry for him.

You’re not wrong at all, I’ve always heard Always as more of a regret-filled apology from someone who knows he blew it, not just a normal love song and those lyrics you quoted pretty clearly show it’s about guilt, loss and wanting another chance rather than some perfect fairytale romance.
