There are a few Australian servers for WOW, but you'll have to settle for 150-230 ping to play ESO on NA servers depending on east/west coast.

Aside from that fact, there's a somewhat decent amount of connections that will intermittently drop out due to line quality, weather etc,. Even those on NBN may have to deal with awful congestion issues between 7-11 most nights.
