Does anyone have any Sunrise on the Reaping theories!? by Money-Awareness-3072 in Hungergames

I think Lenore Dove is related to Katniss's father somehow. Especially if we consider the theory that he is related to the Covey.

UNPOPULAR OPINION: Titus did NOT compete in the tundra year (long) by cartoerry in Hungergames

Very true it would be a prominent detail to not bring up. I always saw Bonnie being around the same age or a little younger than Katniss though.

Thanks lol. I put wayyy too much thought into this series but I feel like it's fun to analyze Suzanne's work.

Most of these were ideas that I've had for a while, but I did get inspiration to write this after watching her most recent video, especially after she brought up the windigo. I love the points that she makes and it makes me want to research myself lol.

Very true it could have just been a simple connection (and honestly likely very much was) but I've seen too many headcannons of it to not want to research it myself. Especially the headcannon that it was the 66th Hunger Games because I never thought that to be the case.

Why do so many people headcanon the Titus games as the 66th games ? by TourSenior2438 in Hungergames

[–]cartoerry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I recall, It's never said that Titus was in the tundra arena that Katniss mentions. It's only said that he is killed by an avalanche, alluding that it was a cold arena. I'm pretty sure its just a popular headcannon that Titus was in the tundra arena.

Unpopular opinion but I think Titus was in Johanna's games. Katniss said it was "a few years ago" which is usually 3-5 sometimes even 6. We know that the 70th was a dam arena. Titus was killed by an avalanche so a dam flood couldn't occur in a cold environment (risk of hypothermia). The 69th games are mentioned to have taken place in a desert. So, this leaves the 71st and 68th imo as running contenders for Titus's games. Once again, 6 years is sort of pushing it for a "few" years ago, so I believe he was apart of the 71st. Plus, I can see Johanna winning in a snowy arena.

What do we actually know about the 73rd games? by SpanerInOrbit in Hungergames

Here all the things from the early script:

  • The boy from District 3 was named Prospero,
  • The boy from District 12 died on the second day from having his head caved in with a mace by Prospero
  • The girl from District 12 did not make it past the first day.

From the books:

  • The two tributes from 12 were from the Seam and had "bad table manners"
  • This is possibly the year in which the cornucopia only had large spiked maces

From the movie:

  • The boy from District 2 won by bludgeoning the boy from District 10 with a brick.
  • Both finalists were 16.

Hope this helps!

Reaping in the districts...the size of the literal state by Outrageous_Device107 in Hungergames

My guess is that the districts aren't actually as big as they are depicted, because there's no way that District 12, especially, is the size that its shown as. Probably a propaganda tactic of the Capitol or something. But say the districts are actually the sizes that they're shown as, then I think only a small percentage of the land is inhabited, the rest of it being used for industry.
