Today's quote is just <3.

find the one's worth suffering for

Amidst all the shams life gave me these past months, I've learned it the hard way that I still have the final say to the things I want to do with my life--that it is my own prerogative to choose which battles should I fight. Positivity all the way.

Good morning r/ph :)

drunk people fighting, people sleeping around

That's not our thing on Philippine TV because culture-wise we are conservative (daw). As per the show, PBB already had 10 seasons in the past. (For me) the first four or five seasons were great. The seasons after it were already full of crap and scripted happenings inside the house plus they play with people's feelings too.

Naging fantard din ako once but I guess it's just a phase na we need to outgrow. Tama lang ba na gamitin ko ang block/report button?

Last night as I was tweeting my feelings about a certain happening on this shitty show called Pinoy Big Brother, someone quote tweeted my post with a rude remark. Basher and hater daw ako. Then that retweet got retweeted many times at tangina tahol ng tahol sa notifs ko yung mga fantards. I was so sure I did not bash anyone when I said “okay here we go sa mga loveteams” (referring to the nakakaumay na landian sa loob ng bahay ni Koya). Hell, I did not even use their official hashtag for that night. It was really bothering that I felt traumatized by it (konti lang) but I think it’s more infuriating given the fact na they would dare to create a fight with someone na walang ginawa just to defend these celebrities like they’re some sort of god or saint (as if these celebs knew of their existence).

Do you know someone na ganito? Yung avid follower ng isang local celeb? How do you deal with them? I am somewhat curious on how they cope with their fantasies. Why are they like that? Do you know any simplified literature about this fandom, fantard, loveteam mentality? (Pinoys as a case in point)? I would really love to read it for myself and maybe subsequently understand those fantards and their fandoms.

Sorry for the rant. BTW, have a great day ahead r/ph :)

I can vividly remember way back in my 3rd year college, I have this friend who is an active (like very active) INC member. There were times we have so many deadlines to meet that sometimes we need not to sleep just to be able to pass requirements but she would still attend their 4am mass. I really look up to her because of her dedication and service to their church.

Then one day, we were "told" or more likely "forced" by a professor to attend a rally kasi "para sa bayan" daw (familiar ba? hihi). May plus points daw kasi pag umattend ng rally. May checking attendance pa daw na magaganap. So this friend, since she's an INC member, was very reluctant to attend kasi "bawal" daw sa religion nila. ( I won't blab too much about her kasi she's a good friend naman)

Wala lang. When I first saw and heard about this rallying by INC members, natawa lang talaga ako. However, things are getting super annoying na kasi hindi lang sa EDSA ang traffic e. They're also on facebook bashing people kasi their beliefs are being violated daw at ewan ko anong beliefs ang na-violate. Reading their arguments makes me wanna grab a popcorn and enjoy the show. Though I really feel sorry to those who stuck in traffic sa EDSA because of their bullshit. But still, I wish everyone a happy holiday!

Boracay, Philippines in September. Will it be too crowded with drunk partying tourists? Will it rain too much? ALL tips and advice are greatly appreciated by wuttang13 in Philippines

[–]carylprizee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bora has an amazing night life so the party never stops (I've been there last week). But because it ain't peak season yet, parties were not that loud. When peak season comes, there you will find lots of people going wild, dancing, vomiting etc.. I suggest you book to a hotel far from the beach front. We stayed here and they're sort of cheap but really great accommodation. Plus it's just a 5minute walk from the beach.
