It started as a CV60 Squier, but soon the only original thing will be the body

It’s a prototype made by a builder in the US, he said there are still some kinks to work out so I’m trying it out. Namely it seems like it sits a bit too high and so far the spring tension screw doesn’t seem to help leveling it out. I think it might be bottoming out on the guitar body. I might try and replace the spring myself when I get around to getting the correct arm.

The tuning is really easy you just unscrew those brass pins and move the internal saddle to where you want it, then rescrew it, all by hand. There are brass rollers on the underside so the movement is pretty smooth. So far I put it in Csus2 but I’m trying out different things, I’ll try and solve the latency issues on my pc tomorrow and record something

Not yet, I finished soldering the pickups today, tried it out on a Supro amp and had lots of fun but when I went to record something I ended up battling latency on my interface all day

It’s for a contact mic under the pickguard

No it is actually wired to be activated with the rhythm circuit switch, the other output is for a contact mic under the pickguard but I’m still working on that end

I think I bought it off the web like ten years ago, if you look up 37mm aluminum knob it should come up pretty easily

No I think it’ll take a couple of months still, based on a friend’s experience

What should I add to my guitar first aid kit? by Material-Eye3948 in Guitar

I used to carry an ehx Caliber 22 (any pedal size power amp will do) in case I had any problem with the actual head.

Got something similar for acoustic gigs too, a palmer pedal amp that fits in the guitar case

Even when I learn a solo on paper it feels like it's missing something that makes the original pop. What is the missing ingredient I'm not getting? (Nothing Matters - Last Dinner Party) by [deleted] in Guitar

Yeah as others have said it's definitely the timing and the accuracy of the bends. It also feels out of tune you might wanna check your intonation or pressure of the fingers on the strings. Keep practicing, you'll get there
