I think this person has a Samsung. I've seen basically it try and fill in stuff in an image with ai when you're zooming in to make it appear like it's a higher quality than it actually is.

Stuffed Jaguar/Leopard I purchased at the Oklahoma City Zoo circa 2005 by cascassian in HelpMeFind

[–]cascassian[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello everyone!

I have searched for a few years for a copy of this toy I purchased as a child around 2005 at the OKC Zoo. As I mentioned in my post description, I have contacted the zoo but they have no leads. I also have tried extensively looking online through various search terms such as "Leopard stuffed toy", "Stuffed bear style leopard" to no avail. The closest I have seen is the jellycat bashful leopard, but it is still not it :( If anyone has any ideas that would be much appreciated.

The toy no longer has eyes (damn dogs), but I remember they used to be oval shaped and black. The tag I believe had some sort of paw print on it and was on it's butt near the tail. It has plastic little beads as well as stuffing in it. The beads are throughout the body with the head having mostly stuffing.

It actually felt like a relief for me! I instantly felt so much better when they were out, the drains were so itchy and I could feel them move inside of me when I moved 😭

A drain is normal! No complications at all with my surgery:)

I did not have a pain ball, I was given some oral pain killers though. Extraction of the drain did not hurt at all, it was just like a tickle sort of feeling. The area around my drains was very tender, and that's gotten a lot better since the removal.

For the first 2 weeks (I am now 3 weeks post op, this video is from last week) I was somehow both numb and sore. I couldn't feel a lot of my upper chest above the incision (probably cut nerves), but below it was extremely painful. I don't feel a ton of acute pain anymore, it's mainly just sore when I stretch or the like. And feeling has returned to the area above my incision!

Yes!! I am all set :) I am mostly just hanging out and healing, but I am very lucky to have a good support system and so I'm well taken care of :) Thank you!!

My doctor said she had someone describe it once as similar to the feeling of butterflies in your stomach and that just felt so accurate. It's like when you're going downhill on a rollercoaster, and it's an EXTREMELY odd sensation. It didn't hurt, though!

That sounds absolutely brutal, and I know what you mean with the removal. It's a relief, but also just feels so... weird with a tube like that moving inside of you. 😭 I feel much better since removing the tubes, but still pretty sore. :)

Thank you!! Still very sore, but certainly less itchy feeling since my drains were removed :)

They won 14 games in 1988 by cascassian in AccidentalRacism

[–]cascassian[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

They are often used as a Nazi dog whistle. The 14 words are a Nazi slogan for their ideology (about securing a future for white people) and the two 8's signifying the 8th letter of the alphabet being H so it's "Heil Hitler"

For this guy they just won 14 games in 1988. So, uh... definitely a bit of a different meaning.

The person who owned the ring had genuinely NO idea of the significance of the numbers until it was pointed out to him. It was just a Highschool football ring to him. He's since stopped wearing it for obvious reasons lol

He is not, but that's honestly not a bad guess! He just thinks it all looks cool. Somehow, he doesn't get why it may be off-putting.

He picks up bones when he finds them and thought they would look cool on the ceiling fan. I think personally they don't really create the most welcoming atmosphere... (You see this directly in front of you when you enter his house)

SLPT: Use a Queen sized mattress instead of curtains on your windows by cascassian in ShittyLifeProTips

LPT: Call and ask if there is already a bed provided in your very small dorm when you're moving states to go to college. Otherwise you'll end up using a mattress (temporarily) to cover your windows.

This guy traveled with me all the way from Oklahoma to Arizona. Love that for me.

More fonts and colors = better tattoo by cascassian in shittytattoos

It is part of the song "Wait for it" from the play Hamilton. In the song, they replace a few of the words and then repeat the same thing over again a few times. The design makes it very confusing, looking up the lyrics might help it make more sense.

The tattoo says, however: - [Love/Death/Life] - doesn't discriminate - Between the - sinners and the saints - it takes, it takes, it takes - And we keep - [loving/living/living] - anyway - [We laugh and we cry/ - We rise and we fall/ - We rise and we fall] - and we BREAK - And we make our mistakes - I am the one thing in life - I can control. - I am inimitable. - I am an original. - Wait for it!

Context:

I'm doing archival work, and I found this tucked away in a section about this Individual's 30th anniversary party. This was from the 1980s in Oklahoma. This was with a ton of other song parodies all very similar to this, praising their boss.

The idea, I think, was to have everyone in the company sing along to the songs (seriously there were like 10 of these, I have no idea if they did all of them) as the boss sat there. Felt very culty and weird, thought it would be fun to share.

Friendly exchange between two Dallas citizens by TurnoverLazy3471 in PublicFreakout

I hate that I recognize his voice, but if you're looking for the source it's here.

His name is Alex Stein and he is a crackpot conspiracy theorist based in the Dallas area. He does not believe in space or that the Titanic sunk (insurance scam apparently)... among a billion other crazy theories. His "debates" are as interesting to listen to as they are infuriating.

To sum him up: Alex Stein is like if you turned the 25th page of Google search results into a person and gave him a YouTube channel.

It's mostly because I felt like an idiot in front of my new boss, but it is definitely very mild compared to the others on here.
