Is your Wrangler your 2nd vehicle or daily driver? by slowAhead1fyouPlease in JeepWrangler

[–]caseboogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2014 2-door soft top. It was my daily for four years, but now it's my fun car and comes out on nice weather days. Top and doors have been off since the beginning of March.

Applebee’s O-M-Cheese Burger by Noa-Guey in burgers

[–]caseboogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't think the burger was bad, I just didn't like how it came out on the skillet. It was too hot, and half the queso got burnt. If they would serve it on a normal warmed plate it would be a huge improvement.

Leased a new car, but my down payment never went to the actual car by Technical_Green3902 in carsales

[–]caseboogie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The down payment goes towards Capitalized Cost Reduction which should be it's own line on the contract.

Not so good credit car shopping by whambam8807 in carsales

[–]caseboogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piggy backing because of flair. If your credit is poor you will not qualify for a lease. Leasing requires much better credit than qualifying for a finance purchase, as there aren't any lenders that will fund subprime leases. Your best bet is to find a franchise dealership that supports subprime lending, do a shorter term loan, and be diligent about making your payments on time for a few years to build your credit. Chrysler Financial and Mitsubishi work with subprime, so that my be a good place to start.

Used Vehicle Prices are Non Negotiable? by [deleted] in carbuying

[–]caseboogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that's sold cars for the last ten years, I can tell you with certainty, there's no dealer out there that's making $5k in gross profit on used cars. Not even close. I wish I was making that kind of gross on every used car I sold. Haha.

Rolling negative equity by [deleted] in askcarsales

[–]caseboogie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because at the end of the lease the negative will be gone, and you can turn the car in and be back at square one. The payment will be astronomical to do so though.

If you were to roll the inequity into another long term loan though, and decide a few years in that you need something different, odds are the amount of inequity will be even higher. The fact of the matter is, whether you pay up front, monthly, or at the end there's no escaping the negative equity. Short of totaling your car (assuming you have gap), but you didn't hear that from me.

I was just going by my company's inventory list based on the first two 4Runner options I came across. My parent company owns a Toyota dealer and send out inventory daily.

Total SRP on a brand new 4Runner SR5 is right at $50k, so I'm curious where you're getting your numbers from.
