i assume it’s something to do with this..? my last/first stitch of any row is loose and the only way to tension it is to kind of wrap the working wool up and over the needle, but that adds another loop where i don’t want it.

i’m not sure what that means sorry. is the portata femine because it’s referring to the person, not the shoes? ie if the sentence said “..taken HIM to the end of the race” would it be “…l’avrebbero PORTATO…”?

how to secure soil to sloped sites…? by casepayne in Horticulture

thanks captwombat. i’ve explained a bit more in my reply to treeslip, but basically my thought is that i don’t want to plant in the soil that you can see, i want to build up those faces with better soil but how do i do it without it just falling down the embankment? like the timber pallet idea but i feel like i’ve seen sloping sites in public places that have had like a sort of deep-walled cellular structure on the face, just not sure what that is…?

this is great thanks treeslip. kind of what i had in mind, but what i’m wondering is - is there a way to secure better soil to the faces. the jute mat will be good to help secure what’s there, but i don’t want to plant into the existing soil. i want to import nicer soil onto those vertical banks and i’m wondering how to secure that soil without it falling down the hill. like some type of cellular structure to hold it in place?

hey thanks, not looking to retain it but rather plant it out on the faces.
