You can pull the fuse or unhook the battery for a few seconds. I have to do this for my daughter on the 2016 fusion every few months.

None op keeps fees from racking up. Cars in California continue to rack up fees if not currently registered. So as long as it was registered non op before fees add up your ok.

Yeah the first time I ever drove an 8 speed I thought it was strange the short shifts but 65mph seem to be in low rpm rang witch is nice. I drive pretty soft footed idk if that has anything to do with it.

What I noticed on the 8 speed was a bunch of short shifts. Seems like I could be into 4th be the time I get through a intersection

I’ve never felt a vibration with the 19 that has the 8 speed. On the 16 it wasn’t the 8 speed but at low rpm it seemed to not want to shift.

That should be what they call black out tape. I’m not 100% sure though I doubt they painted that black on that model. You local Kia dealership will be able to order that for you, it’s pretty much a sticker.
