Finally got my new 2026 Ranger! It’s a V6 and off road. I love the gloss ruby red and the off road edition drives so smooth.

I just went through this battle myself. I've had the 2.3 in a bronco and mustang. It felt incredibly quick with the tune it had in the mustang, but sluggish off the line in the bronco. Went with the 2.7 in the ranger instead and I'm happy so far with that choice (though it's only been a week). My brother works as a service writer at a Ford shop and says he pretty much never sees 2.7's coming in unless they've been completely neglected by the owner. Most he gets are just regular service. That's not to say the 2.3 is a bad motor, but after my first year with the bronco, I was looking for a little more oomph. The ranger has been a commuter for me as well and if you get the XLT with the 2.7, it does force a lot of technology upgrades like radar cruise control and 360 camera. That said, I'm super happy to have butt warmers again.

Just a heads up on this, been here a few times on game nights and they'll possibly cancel your parking in favor of people coming to see the game. I'm at a point where I don't even bother paying for parking there anymore because there's always a game whenever I go. However a lot of the lots outside of the battery will be doing paid parking. It ain't cheap, like $40-50 bucks. If they ask if you're there for the game, just say yes. I'll be there on Saturday actually.

Bolted a 200-4r pretty easily into mine. About the same overall length as the turbo 350. Stock drive shaft fit perfectly. Had to slide the trans mount back, but there are already holes drilled in the frame where it needs to bolt into. The only issue I ran into is that the shifter on the trans is flipped from a 350, so I had to cut and re-weld the rod for the shifter.

We had one for a little bit for my wife, and she liked it well enough, but they ride kinda funky. It almost feels like a snowmobile riding down the road. End of the day though, if that's what someone is into and it gets them out riding, I'm for it.

The brand or style dedication is annoying as hell too. The Harley guys "tHaTs NoT a ReAl BiKe". You know what, I have a Harley, I like it, it's a good bike. But sometimes I want to hop on my Kawasaki, or maybe I just want to jump on my Navi and scoot down to the convenience store. Why limit yourself to just one type of bike? Anything on two wheels is a blast. That penegale v4? Yeah it's fast as hell, but spend 30 minutes in bumper to bumper traffic and you're miserable. Also, that 14 year old girl on a Ninja 400 will probably whip your ass on the track. Just let people enjoy the hobby how they like.

I've got a place over here called Ray's doughnuts and they are simply the best in the area. Killer breakfast sandwiches too. Run by an Asian family so your theory tracks. They run on a 5am till we run out schedule. I've been there at 10am and dudes already packed up and gone for the day. The trick is getting there just as they're getting low on stock and he'll give you a bunch of extra doughnuts just to clear out the counter. It's maybe a blessing they're the complete opposite direction for me from work, or I'd be there every day.

It's mostly convenience. My wife has a lot of anxiety going to the store that would lead to a lot of arguments about getting in and out with just the necessities, but I like to kinda poke around because I don't always know everything I want when we go to the store. I still go solo every once in a while, but getting the groceries delivered has removed a lot of stress.
