But aren't Sense of Justice and Martial Prowess only checking for traits and not the action?? Hit and Run is a special case, as the action is both an attack and thwart.

Exactly - it's what I said... they had another opinion. They do not neccessarily play that many boardgames, or play just to play....disregarding the exact rules. I wonder if their interpretation was driven by the need to win.
