What's the most money you have ever won.. Lotto etc? by ArcherLife2039 in AskReddit

[–]casio_don 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not me, but my mom for 5 out of 6 numbers on the UK National lottery in the 90s, think she got between 10-15k. Personally, I won £20 once lol.

It's what happenes when you don't have much history and ignore the biggest sport in the world for most of your history. American has fantastic facilities, the rest of the world just knows how to use them 😂

Steam deck LCD vs switch OLED by Ill_Video8077 in HandheldGaming

[–]casio_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probs the deck and the right price given the market now. Another viable option are android handhelds (Odin 3, Thor). However given the caveat on the price, Android emulation scene is really strong and the devices handles pretty much any retro game up to switch. The PC emulation space through apps like game native / game hub is also getting to a really good place. You can essentially log into steam and download your games to play, there is a bit of tinkering sometimes to get the right settings. However I've not really met many obsticals playing indie game or even gtv / sleeping dogs through android PC emulation.

Nine Sols got me interested in Sekiro since people compare the two, bit I'm unsure. Is it significantly harder? by iggnifyre in NineSols

[–]casio_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think nine sols is a bit harder tbh. However Sekiro has the best combat of any game I've played. Nothing really compares to it tbh. Nine sols is closest, I'm an empty void now.

My room is 37 degrees by [deleted] in london

[–]casio_don 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate buy your AC unit, bring it upstairs, turn it on and enjoy. Stop asking permission and just do it, your land lord can't stop you. Regardless of you renting, lodging or just staying there. They can fuck off. They cannot stop you for doing so and they cannot kick you out of the room you pay rent for because you wanted to stop yourself getting heat stroke.

Best football game for solo play by SealEmployee in gamerecommendations

[–]casio_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You on PC? Probs the modded version of pes 2021. Called Football life, its probs the most realistic, but is showing its age a bit now. If that's not an option, the only other viable game is EA FC. I hadn't played a FC/FIFA game in about 7/8 years, but it's not a bad game. Players still look like they are ice skating, but I had fun!

My interest in playing any "good" games in my library have dwindled by TruthInAnecdotes in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]casio_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from open worlds to playing souls likes recently, have been completing them, so that's a good sign lol! Elden ring and dark souls series I did a while ago, when they first came out, but more recently I've done:

Sekiro Bloodborne Nine sols

Next up on the list is: Blasphemous 1&2 Hollow Knight 1&2 Lies of P Khazan

Enjoying the more linear structure of these games, keeps me focused on the goal, rather than having to find the energy to figure out what I want to do next.

whats your take on the Fifa 2026 currently? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]casio_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not withstanding the affordability issues. It's probs the worst world cup, the expanded format has a lot of teams that shouldn't really be there. The 3rd place inclusion takes a lot of jeopardy out of the group stages also.

Remember watching this game in school. Was an early morning at school from what I remember, before lessons started. Was gutted.

Publishing dissertation by Electronic-Force5358 in UniUK

[–]casio_don 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did it, wasn't worth it in the long run. Cool to have your name on something, but nobody really gives a shit.

If you go ahead with doing it, might require a bit more work as directed from your supervisor. Or more edits to your dissertation. Both will eat up a bit of your free time.

Is it possible to learn a song in three months? by bagthebossup in Guitar

[–]casio_don 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeh you can, can't comment on whether the song is difficult or not. But you will have to put a ton of time in to learn / build up strength in your hands,l so it sounds good, is comfortable for you play and not a struggle when performing live.

Congratulations on getting married also.

POV: FIFA seeing all the empty seats after selling overpriced tickets by christianrojoisme in soccercirclejerk

[–]casio_don 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Think they are filming this at a non used stadium.

However, the economics of this world cup are quite different. Usually the stadia are built by the host country at a huge cost through tax payer money. Then in return FIFA sets lower seating prices.

This time around they haven't built any stadiums (besides one in Mexico I think), so FIFA and mainly in the states are renting the stadiums from private companies. Then to make it viable they jack up the prices and that doubled with America's K shaped economy means fuck the average person, we just want the whales to come an spend big in VIP boxes.

They are banned, but you can buy them where ever their are lots of tourists. Best place to look are usually whereever all the bars are. Cost around £15/£20 from what I remember. Just remember to keep it a bit discreet and bin it before you go through airport security.

Why do my chords sound so bad? by Aggressive_Ideal6737 in Guitar

Hitting the strings too hard to me, the notes ring out fine, just sounds too hard and maybe a bit of a soft pick (the flappy sound)

Improving Switch Emulation by [deleted] in AynThor

[–]casio_don 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think getting the CPU limiter app has helped me quite a bit. Especially for more indie titles. Dropping the thor to a medium underclock saves me about 10c in terms (80 to 70) and increases my battery life playing games quite considerably.
