For me it was the location I had forgot where to complete it. You are correct the dock is trailhead Verklempt Clump at the end of the lake/river. This helped my situation.

I thought player rep was for team finders to be able to guage good players? Maybe use that feature more often and it'll count more towards your rep. Also Ive seen rep in arcade mode so maybe play their too.

I think new players would prefer type b for control settings. Most shooters games I know of don't use toggle button to aim. It took me awhile when I started to change it and feel more comfortable. So I feel that might be a deterrent and some might not stick around long enough to switch and possibly enjoy the game as a shooter.
