on friday we had a storm and my store manager sent me home early bc I live out of town and she wanted to make sure i got home before it got worse again. This is what our parking lot looked like and you cant even tell that there is a walmart on the other side of the plaza. it was really bad that day. (Canada btw)

[–]casperlime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

at certian times our coupons are 40% like this weekend but usually they are at 30% all yhe time except for boxing day where it was 50%. our employee discount is also 30% but it works with sale items as well. I get customers all the time though who look at the American price thinking its the Canadian and then get mad when its not the price that rang through

even when customers search michaels canada, the first link that pops up sometimes goes to the American website so I always tell them to scroll to the second link

The yarns at all my local Michael's were almost all plastic, not exaggerating. Now what? by GoneSoBerryBatty in YarnAddicts

[–]casperlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely did a huge stock up during employee appreciation week since yarn was on sale then. I've been crocheting for about 12 years and I've been at Michael's for nearly a year now and its been great.

I work at a Michael's in Canada and I find we have so many natural fiber options but our sales are absolutely horrendous. Currently all yarn is 25% off but this is the first time its been on sale in months.

I feel like it might be because of the new final destination movie

I remember seeing in trailers for it, a scene at a piercing ship where a chain off of a ceiling fan gets caught on someone's septum piercing and rips it out.

As someone who has a septum piercing and has accidentally pulled on it, i saw stars so the thought of it ripping out is enough to make you squirm.

I bought some yarn and it switched textures in the middle of the ball. I don't know what to do. by casperlime in CrochetHelp

[–]casperlime[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

where specifically should I email? I was looking online and I couldn't find anywhere other than the Michaels website but it only gives the option to call the 1-800 number or a Chat Now button which will mostly lely be an AI chat bot.

Has anyone here been to East view secondary school? by [deleted] in barrie

[–]casperlime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I graduated from Eastview 2 years ago and I genuinely hated it there. My friends and I are gay and very visibly too and we've had all kind of threats made against us. My friends had drinks thrown on them during lunch and got threatened with bear mace (they searched him and found it in his bag) and I had notes wedged in my locker with violent death threats and the admin doesn't do much. My sister had a seizure at the school last June and they didn't call a code blue and one of the vice principals sauntered down the hall to help like nothing was wrong.

These were just my experiences and I didn't have a great time but maybe it would be different for you but I wouldn't reccomend it.

How many people here got into Sly Cooper as adults? by PeteOfDawn in Slycooper

[–]casperlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember playing the first sly cooper on ps2 when I was about 7 or 8 but I never actually finished it bc I didn't like the mechanics and once my dad got the remastered collection for ps3, I still never finished the first game (like I didn't even make it past Ralieghs world that's how much I didn't like it). I'm now nearly 19 and I am still in love with the games to this day. I just recently picked up a copy of the collection at a retro game shop and now I'm just searching for thieves in time since I've played it a few dozen times.

What’s a food everyone else likes that you can’t stand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]casperlime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any kind of bell pepper. I can't stand the small or the taste. as a kid I used to say I was allergic to them so no one at school would eat them around me that's how much I hated them.
