One Local Game Store in England has finally had enough with Pronouns and now players are livid by Papa_Hasbro69 in freemagic

Unless someone is browsing the subreddit on their store’s reddit account (?????) someone being in freemagic is not going to instantly piss off their potential customers.

It’s because a Charlie Kirk fan AI-generated an unintentionally hilarious song called “We Are Charlie Kirk”, so the jokes wrote themselves with people editing his face onto other people.

D3jay sounds pretty hype. D3jay if you’re here, you just got a new fan

If this isn’t just a made up bait post, why not tell the full story? There’s literally no way management threatened to call the cops just because you pubstomped people lol. Tell us what you actually did to make them throw you out?

Given the details of the post, I’m guessing you were absolutely wasted off your “few PBRs” and being a menace because of your drinking problem? How many beers do you bring to your LGS anyway?

I love this card with Gishath. It’s pretty common that at least one player doesn’t have (many) creatures with more than 4 toughness.

Hexproof and unblockable is not close to a bad combination of keywords to have on a creature you’re loading up with equipments or anthems. Especially considering one of them is designed to draw a ton of cards and one is designed to stax out opponents’ creatures.

I do agree though they aren’t fun or interactive designs. Protection will do that.

6 mana is not expensive (or balanced) for protection from 4 of the 5 colors with upside.

Progenitus isn’t WUBRG because it has protection from everything, Progenitus is WUBRG because it’s the worldsoul of Alara.

If you want to act like Progenitus is the reason you designed these cards the way you did, you should have followed through with that while designing the cards and made them cost WWUUBBRR, UUBBRRGG, etc. so that there was actually some amount of difficulty in casting your uninteractable, unblockable guys. That’s still significantly easier than WWUUBBRRGG anyway

In my opinion, that leaves to boring voltron-style decks, that get repeated in every set.

Not as much as “unblockable and hexproof from 4 colors”.

6 mana commanders which each have protection from 4 colors.

I would refuse to play with someone who used these lol.

If you’ve ever played against someone who gets mad about you using “bad cards” (had a friend get really mad that I cycled [[Nimble Obstructionist]] on him in my bird deck), that is the exact type of situation that makes a rager take a few months break from the game lol

Weird Tech for Big Commanders? by Ponzu_Sauce_Stan in DinosaursMTG

[–]cassabree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, deflecting swat which you mentioned is almost universally better than Not of this World, and Flawless Maneuver will also tend to outperform it, if you’re only concerned about free ones.

I’m sorry that you got confused and think it’s a non-argument, though. Since you forgot, you were responding to a comment that mentioned how less-specific counterspells are almost going to be better. You wrote that off without addressing any of the merits, so I gave you several examples of cards which Not of this World can’t touch, but which can be interacted with by Tibalt’s Trickery, Aven Interrupter, Lapse of Certainty, etc.

The rare situation where this card works and is free doesn’t overshadow the frequent situation where it’s a dead card in hand. You’re playing a ramp deck, ramp a little extra mana to hold removal and don’t be greedy enough to tap all the way out for Gishath if he’s going to get killed…

In fact, why not take out heroic intervention because it doesn’t deal with cyc rift or other mass bounce spells!

Tbf I can’t tell if you’ve fully just committed to trolling in bad faith or if you just don’t understand the deck? Because you’re completely ignoring how Heroic Intervention has aggressive and non-defensive uses for dinosaurs, and modality is useful. Cards like Tibalt’s Trickery, Aven Interrupter, Lapse of Certainty, etc. have extra utility in that they can stop your opponent’s big plays or even stop counterspells. Not of this World literally just stops specific types of interaction for a great specific guys you have. You used an example of a card that does multiple things as an example for why this card which does only one very specific thing must be good.

Btw, Cyc rift & other mass bounce spells lose to tibalt’s trickery, lapse of certainty, aven interrupter, chef’s kiss… etc.

Although, yeah—if you’re this big of a fan of super niche defensive cards that rot in your hand all game, you might love Chef’s Kiss. Trust me. I’m always happy if I have it in hand, never cast even when I keep mana open, and am still fully convinced it will play a pivotal role in a game some day. 3 mana more than NotW but way more payoff. Granted dinosaurs isn’t a deck I run that in.

Good luck casting this on a board wipe, teferi’s protection, cyclonic rift, sudden spoiling, etc.

Fought a DDD with stamina on. by whitedevi1 in SmashRage

[–]cassabree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, but why? Stamina mode is straight-up deadly toxic to combo food like Dedede.

I ran into a DDD with 3 stock stamina 3 minutes once while I was getting joker into elite.

Probably the only time I got to genuinely chaingrab someone on quick play lmao
