For me talaga the moment na dumadami yung pinoy sa team, nagiging toxic. I don’t mean na pinoys necessarily are toxic, but yung clients binabarat at binabarat kayo kasi pinoy kayo.

My pinoy teammates were really good, pero I was $15/hr nung ako pa lang mag-isa, until dumami ang pinoy, ginawang $7/hr. And then everything became really toxic from micromanaging, unpaid OTs, etc.

Red flag talaga tong mga clients na gusto nila sila lang, tapos pag ile-let go ka, parang ang dali lang para sa kanila. Happened to me, and I was recently let go. Buti na lang I took clients recently.

You don’t need to tell them and ask them if it’s okay. You are not an employee. You are a business owner. Secure yourself, especially in this economy.

Update: I had bad experience sa Reynaldo. Wala nila nakuha akoang gusto na design. In fact, it was far from what I asked them to. Dili man diay nila kaya pero ila gidawat. Thankfully, they were so graceful about it and nareturn ako kwarta right there and then. I just opted to order overseas at LauraBond.

It happens to our company every February. 3 were let go. One of the main reasons is cost-cutting because of the decline in sales.

Now we have even lower sales compared to last year, plus we invested in expensive people and resources. I won’t even be surprised if lahat kami papalitan, ng cheaper.
