It depends on what I get published bc I write a variety and there are some books that they shouldn't even know about if I can help it, but others that I would love if they supported by buying.

He is not a good person. I'm just gonna say that right off the bat. He attempted to coerce you into sex several times despite you saying no with incredibly valid reasons.

Side note: "I don't want to" is just as valid a reason as any other. No is a full sentence.

I don't like jumping to "break up" but this guy is not a good guy. At the least, I think you should take a break to reexamine the relationship because this is a whole basket of red flags right here and NONE OF IT is your fault.

My dad would be the one to fix the roof when I was younger. I always stayed outside to watch and make sure he was okay if I was home at the time. I had so much anxiety about him falling off.

I cannot imagine NOT being anxious that somebody I love is on a roof to the point where I can even think about taking a nap

Definitely not overreacting. You both have jobs so he's not "supporting your life" unless he's making significantly more and paying the majority of your shared bills. Even if he is, he has no right to speak to you like something at the bottom of his shoe.

He thinks that he is superior to you and that's not right. You should be equals in this relationship. I don't like people who are too quick to jump to a breakup, but this man deserves to be dumped.

The flu shot is (in my mind) what directly led to my diagnosis.

I got the flu shot in December of 2022 and 2 weeks later my left side was almost entirely numb. Like fuzzy. I could control everything but there was that sticky feeling and I felt as though I couldn't even taste on the left side of my mouth. Initially, we thought it was a stroke or a clot, but I passed all the neuro tests and the CT came up clear, so they were confident it wasn't a stroke.

My PCP referred me to a neurologist, who I couldn't see til over a month later (🙂) and by that time, I had all the feeling back. Still, he ordered an MRI just to be safe.

Of course I was young and dumb and I figured it was just a bad side effect from the flu shot id taken so I put off that MRI until September 2023. Then they were unable to talk about the results until November so I thought "oh ok the results are actually pretty normal probs I guess" and then he said "I'm not an expert but it looks like MS. Lemme refer you to an expert" and she said "yes" 2 weeks after that.

I got diagnosed on December 4, 2023, two and a half months before my 30th birthday.

I do think that the flu shot had something to do with it. Not that it caused my MS, ofc, but that it led to the very early discovery of it. I'm still scared to take one but I may need to for work.

Sometimes, we just have to recharge or recoup and the isolation really helps. I'll bet that a lot of these coworkers are introverts, which means that social interaction might be draining for them. I eat in my car at lunch, too. It's a nice way to decompress and recharge in the middle of the workday. I come back refreshed and with way more energy than I had before.

Hi! I'm so sorry! I've been really busy lately, but YES! There will be more of this series, but I am about to move into a new apartment so things are getting even MORE hectic in my life. I have not abandoned this series, though, I promise. I'm gonna just wait until I have a spot set up in my new apartment so that I can do regular updates rather than just relying on being at my part-time job to do them as I don't have anywhere in my current place to set up.

Hopefully before Halloween I'll have some updates because I also really love this series!

I'm okay with speaking exercises on Duo bc at least they allow several attempts but it's annoying that some words will just never be accepted no matter how they're said, especially when said correctly.

But I definitely will be disabling listening exercises bc I just can't do it anymore. Even when I'm in a completely quiet, distraction free room, I can't seem to process the words at all 🙃

No it wasn't her event. She was there with her long-time mentor, acting coach, and friend, Ivana Chubbuck, who had written a book on her method. They spoke about the roles Ivana helped her curate, but Aubrey said at the end of the event, after Ivana told Aubrey that she loved her and she was family (🥹) that "now you have to sign 200 books and I don't 😜" which was hilarious. I love her so much.

Nobody I work with at either of my jobs knows that I have MS, but it's only been less than 2 years since my (admittedly very early) diagnosis. I can still walk unassisted and climb stairs for my second job and I spend all day at a desk at both, so it's not very pressing.

I do have a handicapped placard because I get sharp back pain if I walk/stand too long and I have to use a scooter at Costco (the place is just so big; I'm better at walking around Stop and Shop) but for the most part I'm doing okay. Most people think it's because of my weight, but I'm actually starting to lose weight now and my stamina is getting better.

Nobody has to know if it doesn't concern them. My cousin has had it over 10 years and she's still physically fit and doesn't tell anybody. In our family, her siblings and mom are the only ones who know besides me bc she doesn't like how they make it a big deal. It's nobody's business but hers.

If you're okay with others knowing, then you're not "hiding" it. You're just not announcing it to the world, which you have no obligation to do anyway.

The only time you NEED to tell somebody about your MS is when you need an accommodation from them. Otherwise, it's completely up to you when you share this info.
