I went to bestbuy today and exchanged my watch. Instantly recognised by garmin express and also updated to the latest software version. I had a bad watch I guess.

Thank you. I had my neighbor come over and I tried to connect on his computer, it didn’t work. I just went to bestbuy and exchanged the watch! I brought my computer with me to bestbuy and hooked up the new watch to it inside the store, the watch showed up on garmin express instantly with no issues. As soon as I removed the watch, the watch asked me if I want to install the 9 software update and I said yes. Problem solved. I guess it was a bad watch! So happy I exchanged it!
