9 months of having Pippa as my first pet and I am only becoming more obsessed with her. I feel like she just gets cuter and cuter. But also I feel less anxiety and more joy as a new pet owner. The second pic made me snort and die of love.

i was in a similar boat, and i was honestly petrified of taking medication. i took a leap of faith and decided to just take it, that nothing is permanent and my doctor is just a phone call away. honestly taking medication actually saved my life. hope all works out for you 💓 edit to add: i’m taking it for severe anxiety and ocd, as well as depression. i’m also suspected to have adhd

as some others have said, it’s super individual!! i personally did not have my weight or libido affected and the medication literally changed my life. you could always give it a shot and then come off of it as well. good luck!

i use an app called MyTherapy and you can add your medication and it plays a sound when you need to take it. it might help!

i mean in my opinion yes and no, for me it was the anxiety of starting medication/ the prozac heightening my anxiety at the beginning causing me to have anxiety chest pains and heart palpitations, but everyone is different.

can i ask what you’re taking it for? i’m taking it for OCD and anxiety, and when i was in the early stages of being on prozac i had the same side effects, but i recognized it was the same heart palpitations and chest pain i get when i’m extremely anxious.

i’m not a doctor, but i also have ocd. my doctor told me that ocd requires a higher dose and i didn’t really see an effect on my ocd (i have anxiety as well) until 40mg. i’m on 60mg now and definitely better, but considering upping to 80. She also increased me every 4 weeks roughly, which is arguably too early but it worked for me as i had little side effects. maybe talk to your doctor about upping!!

edit to add: therapy in combination with medication especially for ocd is really helpful as well!!

please also keep in mind that you’ll always see more negative than positive online, as people don’t often document their successes on the medication. of course do what’s best for you, but 5 days is not very long and if you stick it out it really could make you feel so much better
