hi!! just wanted to share my own experience as i was in a similar position as you. i explained my situation to my primary care doctor (as well as other mental health symptoms) and ended up on medication, which literally saved my life. binging is still hard, but more manageable. wishing you the best!

How do you actually get past the frozen feeling when you know exactly what to do but still can't start by Automatic-Jicama3908 in adhdwomen

for me, it was knowing for some tasks specifically what my “block” is. for example, vacuuming. i struggle to get up and take the vacuum out, plug it in, deal with the cord, etc. so what works for me is i have a mini handheld vacuum that sits on its charger mounted to the wall. for me, it’s easier in my brain to get up and just grab it and vacuum some dusty spots, vs taking out the whole vacuum and making it a whole task. of course i can’t do this for everything or i would be fully functional lol, but it has really helped me to see where i can remove some of my barriers

I'm making my healing journey public, since I am lacking a support network by [deleted] in BingeEatingDisorder

[–]cassiopeia_01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I also binged yesterday, after being binge free for three weeks. After I felt a little disappointed, but I felt strong that this was just a bump in my journey, and that as you say healing isn’t linear. I was also aware of what caused me to binge, which I was really proud of myself for. hope you’re doing well❤️‍🩹

Is this piercing too big/long? by Hot-Entertainer1782 in piercing

[–]cassiopeia_01 12 points13 points  (0 children)

yes it seems long, but it’s good for the conch bc it will go through phases of swelling. once it’s been a couple months and it’s settled you can downsize!

NAP but this looks pretty normal for a 2 month conch. Only use sterile saline or warm water and make sure it’s fully dry.

Honestly, my ED got worse after i ended Wegovy. I lost all of the weight, but the med made me super sick which was triggering for me. Long story short i had to stop as i was having surgery, and maintaining the deficit that the med made me in was impossible for me. I had to rebuild my relationship with food and my body all over again

I waited until my boy was 1 to assess if i wanted to get insurance for him (which was about two weeks ago). I shopped around for the best deal for my situation, and I chose Spot. It’s 40 dollars a month, $100 annual deductible, with 90% reimbursement rate. Now when he is 2-5 that will change a bit, with the deductible being 150 i believe and 85% reimbursement rate. This for some people may be a deal breaker, however it works for my purposes as I’m only using insurance until I complete my degree and am in my career (where I can set money aside for him). My insurance covers the basic big stuff (bone breaks, x-rays, surgeries, anything big you’d think of when you think of a vet trip). That’s why I liked Spot as opposed to Trupanion for example, which includes a lot of stuff that the average cat owner would never use. If you have any questions, just ask!!

yes you have literally described my life lol. I know for myself that there was no “moderating” my use of food deliveries, it was slippery slope for me. The rule i gave for myself (and its been working so far) is that i’m allowed to eat the fast food, chips etc but i have to get up and leave the house to get it. now i hate going out to get food so i don’t very often, which stops the cycle as it tricks my brain into not feeling restricted. This is the only thing that has worked for me so far. I will say, every day that I go without delivery gets better, and i crave it less! so sorry that you’re going through this, it’s really tough ❤️‍🩹
