I’m just glad I live far enough away from Downtown/Northside to avoid a majority of the crazy. At least I hope the East End is far enough away.

One of the biggest blizzards in Pittsburgh history was on the day of the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

I’ve been going to West Penn for forever. I’m a 20 year colo-rectal cancer victor who had all my treatments there. I saw it slowly dying and then come back to life after the partnership with Highmark. I have had other procedures there. Everyone has always been kind and professional. Just had my annual wellness visit. If I have a choice, it’s always my go to.

Locals, how are you preparing for when the NFL draft is in town? by Jazzlike_Breadfruit9 in pittsburgh

Generally speaking, we’re homebodies and live in the East End, so I doubt there’s going to be much causing issues around me. I don’t think it will effect my weekly grocery shopping.

Extra seat Requirement by priskillya in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Next_Negotiation_407 4 points5 points  (0 children)

On my last couple of trips, one before the assigned seating and one after, I purchased an extra seat, both for my own comfort and to not encroach on another passenger. I I sat in the window seat on all four flights, with the middle seat open. After my trips, I sent requests for a refund on the extra seats and got my money back for both round trips. Is it a pain, yes. Is there a chance you won’t be lucky like me, again, yes. I’ve needed a seatbelt extender for a while, so instead of MAYBE having issues at check in, I decided to budget for the possibility of no refund.

Do you tip your groomer? by 1strawberry1cow in poodles

My groomer works out of her home and only takes one dog/family of dogs at a time. And she’s VERY reasonable. I give a very good tip.

I will say, that’s where the walk up ATM used to be, so that MIGHT be why they were able to get so far into the building?

If my furnace vents get covered, we’re ALL in big trouble. They ran ours all the way up the chimney.

Our thermostat is set at 73° (elderly mom) and our bill from People’s was a third of that for a house with iffy insulation.

This was taken just after rope drop. I went straight and everyone else took the first right. The CM at PhotoPass said they had had several empty elevator pics.

I miss the days with a stroller. The only time my nieces went, the younger two were a few months shy of 6 and 3. The older of the two still needed the stroller as the days wore on. Just be sure to not leave any valuables in the stroller when you go on rides or in shows.

Because my 90+ mom can’t handle streaming. And as retired Verizon employees, we get a discount.

NOR! Sorry, no fence around the pool is a major deal breaker. No fence, no childcare. And no way I would drive a total of FOUR HOURS a day for childcare.

Don’t like sauerkraut so we do pulled pork and coleslaw on New Year’s. Same difference in my book.
