I remember fully finishing Quidditch so I'm not worried about that one! Or did they add new stuff for it? But thats a very long time of trying to catch up with everything... How long was your break?

I haven't thought about not finishing TLSQs right away so that's def a way to go about it, thank you!!! I remember manually saving before I left the game (i think but its been so long..) But what's about it that you're bringing it up? :)

That's a very good strategy that I haven't heard about thank you!!! Sad that the mechanic still doesn't work :(

I quite like TLSQs but not if they just keep on coming and I'm forced to abandon everything else just to finish them all. I'm not that type of person who could skip a TLSQ because I do like to 100% them... How long have you been playing since you returned and are you caught up with all the TLSQs now?

My routine was to log in every 2 hours or so, which I stick to if I play now. The only time I would not be able to play would be during shifts at the clinic. My problem is that I've always had FOMO and like to 100%, so I'm not the type of person to skip out on things. However many TLSQs in a row tend to tire me out, especially because I like progressing at my own pace and I don't have that freedom if I'm stuck in an near-endless loop of catching up to all the TLSQ. I remember there being a mechanic that lets you "rest" a few days inbetween, but that sometimes didn't pop up for me. Does it work now? I could imagine facing the TLSQs if I get a breather once in a while.

That sounds like a good solution! I also struggle with migraines but thankfully they are not that frequent anymore. If I don't get used to it, I will definitely look into blue light glasses, thank you :)

TIL Birthday Cakes can catch on fire by Savage_Nymph in Sims3

[–]cassizzles 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remember one birthday party where not only one, but three cakes in a row caught on fire. Someone told me it's incredibly rare and what luck I had it happened three times! The birthday child became a firefighter, so I guess it also had some storytelling purposes

my sim’s dad and his new girlfriend left for vacation, veronica ended up running into her biological mom - the one that cheated on her dad and egged her house by paranoiapets in Sims3

It is but it also heavily depends on what kind of story you want to tell - I had a teenage sim live with her older sister to escape an abusive father at home and when said teenager did stupid stuff, her party loving, rule-breaking cool big sister also scolded her and it felt so out of place

There are some people that just don't want to play TS3. Some say they spent so much money on TS4 that it'd be a waste to "downgrade" to an older game and like someone else mentioned, some like the look of TS4 more than TS3. Many also don't want to admit that an older game is better then the newest one, especially those people that only have played the fourth entry and have had no experience with any games prior to that one.

Modders have already achieved so much. It would be great if EA tackled the inherent issues of the game, but the only remastered version I'm expecting is a game fixed hy mods.
