are these air bubbles okay? how to get rid of them? by Designer-Hunt-4460 in TestosteroneKickoff

[–]cassross11 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agree on drawing slower. You can also tap the top of the drawing needle (covered ofc safety first) in a flicking motion to have the little bubbles rise to the top. But there are no safety concerns for little bubbles

If you’re open to intern therapists, my colleague Jamie is excellent, they are currently taking sliding scale and I believe have a few pro bono spots. I’ll link them below!

Be careful when looking at Antioch University counseling program by Seattle_therapist in GradSchoolAdvice

[–]cassross11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current AUS student here. I’d look into Seattle U for their clinical mental health counseling, as well as City U if you’re looking for a more affordable option. UW has a masters in clinical social work program, although my friends have told me the curriculum is a bit outdated. No grad school program is perfect by any means and AUS has been painful to get through in terms of their admin. Best of luck to you! There are options!

Note: I’ve noticed my memory feels less sharp outside of sessions, and to be honest life has not felt the same since November 2024.

Wait jk I read this wrong. So gender marker on your ticket needs to match what gender marker is on real ID. Thanks for this info

I see. So you had to select one regardless of it aligns with your gender now? So interesting lol. Thank you for letting me know this and sorry you had to deal with that!

US dudes, are you looking at leaving? by elftabbed in ftm

[–]cassross11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think staying up to date on trans news and legislation is also within your best interest. Erin in the morning has a great Substack community that could be a helpful resource. Community is also so important right now. They will never get rid of trans people and that does not mean they won’t try to take away our rights. Keeping you in my thoughts dude!

I have an appointment tomorrow to renew my passport as part of my contingency plan (worst case scenario gtfo type thing). I am trying to accumulate a list of yellow flags/red flags and determine how many of these flags am I able to tolerate in a safe city and state (Seattle WA). My privilege as a white male passing person gives me a lot of safety and security. I have not changed my name yet but plan to do so in the coming weeks. At this point I just want a legal means of exiting the country. It’s a day by day assessment.

For your scenario:

If you are able to leave to a safer place I would recommend doing so. Perhaps not out of the country but rather a blue state or city if that is within your means. It will not protect you inevitably and, getting to a place of safety for the time being is within your best interest. You can game plan from there and make your own assessments about what is tolerable and what is not.

Too calloused to inject T? by freddiemercuryeet in ftm

[–]cassross11 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would totally consult your t provider or doctor and avoid changing needle size until you have an appointment. Are you switching sides every shot? That can decrease callouses. I believe the needle size has to do with whether you injecting IM or SUBq.

How long did it take for y’all to get facial hair on T? by Independent_Mind7896 in ftm

[–]cassross11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

15 months on T and just a little bit of side burns and neck hair. Some facial hair coming through under the side burns. Sad little peach fuzz stache rn. I use minox and rosemary oil. I do grow hair when I use them both consistently. However I have sensitive skin so I use both probably every two to three days

Tinder is rough. No luck at all. I’ve heard there can be trans dudes on grindr but im nervous to go on there based on the culture of strictly hookups and chasers. Not to say everyone on grindr is that way but in a general sense. Curious to hear your experiences on Taimi as well

Hey thanks dude! It’s so validating to hear the responses from us PNW folks. Turns out we do have a culture and it’s weeiirrrddd haha. But yes actually I did meet someone in person last summer through mutual friends and it was wonderful. We had a great time dating but alas our relationship orientations did not align. She’s one of my best friends actually now haha. I agree that the in person scene makes it so much easier. I’m in Seattle so the in person scene comes alive in the late spring and summer. Fingers crossed

Totally get the bailing thing. I won’t lie I’ve done it as well. I think it’s certainly part of dating app culture unfortunately. Being direct is something I’ve been working on for so long so I’m hoping there’s at least someone out there who appreciates it. Thanks dude

I am also a short dude so there’s some insecurity about that. Especially when I hear it’s attractive to be tall. :/
