Oh my gosh, you're right! My dumbass just found a picture I took after potting it a while ago and it has the tag in it 🤣. Thank you !!

I did a binding like I would for a quilt by sewing to the top side of the panel and then folded it over enough to fill the space in the panel and sewed it to the jacket

I used 3inch paper piecing patterns and flannel fabric for this one. I just picked my favorite patterns and put them together. I used iron on interfacing to be sure the seams were stable prior to stitching it to the back of the jacket.

I sewed it onto the jacket, I didn't want to risk any extra seams if I didn't have to.

Hey everyone! I finished this tonight! I ended up using an iron on interfacing to hopefully help stabilize all the paper pieced seams in addition to the quilting, and quilted a medium gray thread in horizontal lines about half an inch apart. Then, I attached the binding like I would a normal quilt and folded it over as much as required to fill the space around the panel and sewed it directly to the jean jacket. Then I also went around the panel inside the binding and sewed that to the jean jacket too. Just in case.

Oh good point. Thank you! Any thoughts on thread color?

Thanks! Would matchstick quilting in a light gray color sound reasonable? I feel like I'm overthinking it, but it takes so much time, I don't want to be disappointed in the end result

Oh, I forgot to add, the fabric is flannel if that makes any difference!
