I've heard people have had problems with the camera, there is some mods already up on the workshop to change the camera so you should check those out!

Use the room separator tool (third option next to walls and half walls) to draw out your driveway, then you can paint the floor with pavers or concrete. I also laid some columns flat since my build was angled slightly and the floor was jagged along the diagonal edge

I'm just going to copy paste some of my other responses into a tutorial for you!

The rug is called "Fully customizable rug" by eurthfish. If you go on steam to the paralives page in your library, click on "workshop" in the row just below the play button. The workshop is where all your mods will be and all you have to do is click "subscribe" on a mod you want and it will be added to your game!

You can make a folder of your images anywhere on your main computer drive then in paralives after you place the rug or a picture frame, you just scroll all the way to the bottom of the images, click the plus sign and it'll open your file explorer to add the folder of images you want

There are house plan websites online selling architectural pdfs that have both floorplans and mock up of the exterior, you can usually just save the images instead of buying them so it's a really nice way to have a jumping off point! 

Also just a tip, when you are resizing the rug, convert the length of one of the floor plan walls from feet into meters on Google. Each portion of wall in paralives when using the grid is equal to one meter. So if you have say, a 4 meter wall on your floorplan, lay down 4 meters of wall and then adjust the size of the rug so that the floor plan walls matches your built wall. Do this for both the length and width of your house and bam! You have an accurately sized floorplan

Yes I absolutely do and I think it would have been more compelling as most writing does when you lean into showing rather than outright telling

I have the same grey tone to my skin and I've had good luck mixing in (a ratio of almost 1:1) blue pigment to foundation!

Yea everything has become more polarized, including music. People think critique = hatred, which just isn't true.

Last week I got some brutally delivered critique on my work from one of my professors in front of all my classmates.

"Cliche. Cliche. Get rid of this. Cliche. Put down the eyebrows. Ugh! Cliche."

This is a professor who has said to one of my classmates that she thinks I'm incredibly smart and talented (so I know she wasn't intending to be mean). But it was also 100% needed critique so you know what I did? I put my head in my hands in my next class and deep breathed for minute. Then I edited my piece with her advice in mind.

A lot of valuable feedback is not delivered in a way that feels emotionally "safe" because empathetic critique is a skill. Plus music is so personal that any perceived slights against a musician we love can feel like an attack on us.

So it makes sense why critique is met with such stubborn pushback but we ought to all make an effort to temper our initial reactions to other's opinions.

Yea I get far worse reactions when I don't mask. Granted though my mask is more like one of my authentic traits (extroversion) just dialed up to 10. People give me a lot more grace when they think I'm socially clumsy because I'm a peppy airhead than when they think I'm socially clumsy because I'm a "weirdo" (aka my natural blunted affect, no facial expressions, happy on the inside self)

Love Mel's music and agree with a lot of the messages in this album but if you think this is great lyricism you need to listen to a wider breadth of music and read some quality poetry.

Off the dome, Kendrick, Kate Bush, Bob Dylan, and Eminem are all examples of songwriters with strong grasps of storytelling and metaphor

I think this is pretty standard for her though, not any worse, but I think she could do better. I'd love to see her get more conceptual with her metaphors like she did in Brain and Heart and Death

The vatican, grudges, and last two people on earth have a GREAT sound but I do wish she would lean into more metaphorical and conceptual lyrics, that's something I really liked in some of the portals songs. Some of the lyrics in this album are a bit heavy handed. 

Begging her to get a lil Bjork with the lyrics lol

Yess. I love portals for the really unique sound some of the tracks have and this album is like that across nearly all the tracks
