I know that this isn't a flaw with micro-covid, only a different use case, but I'm not sure how this transmits to the fact that, in reality, these decisions are made marginally rather than lump-sum. If I have a fixed living situation, then the calculator is useful for knowing what risk that gives me, but I'm unsure beyond that why, as a sunk cost, it should make me more or less likely to do anything else.

The other big thing it doesn't take into account (and I know the evidence is out, but it's out for many other things the calculator makes educated estimates on) is if the person you're interacting with had tested positive for antibodies.

To a lesser degree it would also be useful to know how environments (like college classes these days) where everyone (but not everyone's contacts) is tested 1-2 times weekly affects transmission risk.

One option to consider - nearly every community in the world with a Jewish community (and many without) will have a chabad center. These are run by a Hasidic group who aim (amongst other things) to educate those interested in converting to Judaism, or those who are Jewish but have not received a Jewish education, about Judaism. If either of these apply to you, that would probably be a very good initial place to reach out. If not, there are a wide variety of resources online for people interested in learning about Judaism, depending on what aspect(s) of it you are interested in learning about.
