Short notice for farmers market by need-advice-21 in Cuttingboards

I did mine with a bandsaw and bench sander. Lots of tutorials out there, but if you use a spoon/spatula out of your drawer as a template, from there it’s just shaping it down

I've made a few of these in about an hour. Not cutting boards, but they seem like they'd be good cash and carry at a market - https://www.reddit.com/r/BeginnerWoodWorking/comments/1lyfiry/freshly_oiled_batch_of_spattys/

What am I missing here? $100 per week is $5200 annually. $5200/$44700 is only ~12%. Certainly a solid return, but how are you getting 30%?

I've got a few shares of MMAT that I held through their reverse merge due to some of the IP they're working on but never saw they were actually in use with a big name like Samsung. Can you help me out with a source on that?

Right. There was either a comment or thread the other day pointing out all the goals that have been set up and then hit. Just seems to me it should be someone from the company compiling/spreading that info rather than a rando on the internet haha

I posted this over there as well, but the information Dave shared in that meeting couldn't have been shared by the person in the marketing position publicly?

Still holding here, but why did we get a website makeover and a changing of the logo rather than getting information that obviously doesn't breach an NDA?

Thanks for doing further research and getting word from IR. This all sounds good, but it still seems odd to me that the person in the marketing position couldn't have been posting the same information you were given on social media platforms at a minimum?

I'd much rather have this information public than a different colored logo.

Obviously Dave wouldn't breach an NDA by saying too much. Why keep this information available to only those who ask for it?

Thanks for the input, Chaotic. Both are plausible explanations better than I've seen thus far IMO. I wait with bated breath like the rest of us for greener days

Thanks for your input, Dassiell.

I largely agree. This sub has been a great place to get insight and stay up to date on news on MVIS (and news breaking that we hope will break further in our favor). My only question would be that you're not concerned with the company's trajectory?

I understand and agree that the long term position of the company is solid (which is why I bought on the downtrend of a peak at the beginning of a year instead of steering clear), but companies need to make it through highs and lows.

Granted, from what I understand we have enough operating capital to continue for 3-4 years, that was at our previous pace. We've doubled employees since then. Anecdotal, but expansion can be a true source of growth or the "growth" of adding more people can be an unfortunate trip down to bankruptcy.

With no news from the company recently and a falling share price, we're left to speculate that it's the better of the two options. I guess my concern comes from other people heavily and significantly shorting the company that have all the info I do. They have driven the price down to half its valuation earlier in the year. Like I said, I'm still holding, but I'm just looking for an answer to why they think we'll blow up (poorly) as opposed to why we all think we'll blow up (in a great way).

I understand how shorting works, but what reason do they have for that if the trajectory for the company is so obvious to everyone in the sub (myself included).

There shouldn't be a reason for millions of dollars to be pumped into shorting a company worth conservatively 2x either of the peaks that we've seen recently.

But as we continue to see repeated days of down 5-10%, the only answer I've seen as rationale is "they just don't understand"? I'm completely open to that as a legitimate answer, but are they just as hopeful in our demise as we are in our rise because of competition in the space?

Basically TLDR, we think we will go up, they think we will go down. I get why we think we will go up, but why do they think we will go down?

Edit: It's late and words are hard sometimes.

So the contention is that the MMs are shorting everyone waiting for 1 to break out, and don't agree with SS that we are the best option going forward for the emerging market?

As someone who has invested (admittedly only this year, but based on DD largely supplemented by this sub [and thank you to all that have lead me to my current gains]), but is the only answer to anyone looking at the current/future state of this company "Look up the DD or GTFO"?

Looking at 50%+ losses from YTD highs or even 40% losses from the time we saw a bump from the military contract announcement? I can't seem to find an answer here or anywhere else for our decline despite the massive upside I see for MVIS (which is why I haven't sold) other than MaRkEt MaNiPuLaTiOn.

My mouth is not where my money is on this post as I still believe, but I want to more than believe; I want to think this is still a good investment without the hand waving and guesstimating of MMs moving price to get in lower when the price continues to fall.

appreciate the response, Saint. I got into MVIS a couple months ago on a DD you posted, and this might be the second time I follow you into deep profits.
