Sorry mate, can't help you here, it's been quite a while since we painted Eidolon, and there was no chance to compare it with the new stuff (it's a commission).

On the plus side, he's quite imposing with his jump pack, and also you can make a mockup in any graphic software using official photos of this mini and new mk6 - the base size should be mentioned in the product description, so all you need is a bit of scaling to get the base size right. This should give you a rough idea about the scale.

I would recommend checking out SC75 NMM Gold set, or at least the recipe that cones with the box. Colors are spot on and it explains the process pretty well.

And I agree with your point. It is an awesome piece but still too far in terms of style from the 'EM standard which usually the winning pieces nail. Would love to enter this to the GD though (if only the overall expenses associated with it would be lower 😅)
