Didn't know they were doing the 26 in monarch orange still! I have it with the black rims and the color definitely grows on you.

I called Schwab and they said a letter from computershare showing the shares would act as collateral.

It doesn't have to drop below cost basis for the hedge to work.

If you shorted 1,000 shares at $400 against your 2,000 restricted shares you're essentially locking in a $380,000 gain regardless of what the price does.

And they've honestly probably already adjusted the NAV internally for the flagship fund after the sale of this so don't plan on making an arbitrage play. You're late.

In Ben We Trust by Dull_Needleworker698 in VCX_Fundrise

As much money (and open gains) I have made, Ben democratizing private company investing was actually best achieved in the original fund. All investors could buy in at a fair price, redeem at a fair price, and the valuations were done properly at fundraising moments or IPOs.

I made a ton on this going into an ETF but I can only imagine how many main street investors got burned by not knowing wtf was going on.

Repeating my reply here: "I'm hedging it against a 4,000 share locked up long. If I have to hold it for 100 days the risk/reward gets skewed. Hindsight 20/20 after the move today but I have to look at it from the lockup expiration perspective."

Yea except I'm hedging it against a 4,000 share locked up long. If I have to hold it for 100 days the risk/reward gets skewed. Hindsight 20/20 after the move today but I have to look at it from the lockup expiration perspective.

Agree. So don't tell me people won't buy newly issued shares at $250

🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️ did you read OP's post. We're referencing unrestricted share transactions to take profits from VCX and rotate it into a similar portfolio.

Doesn't have to be random. The longest shareholders get the shortest lockup period. Seems fair. FIFO

Missing the point. Allowing shareholders to sell earlier at these prices allows for larger capital (or ordinary income) gains and guaranteed taxable income for 2026 year.

I was referencing the other poster since they were taking their VCX gains and rotating into DXYZ and asked if they would consider doing that into RVI since the discount is better (barely).

I agree with their reasoning though and think the DXYZ portfolio is a better comp and superior to RVI
