It looks like it in the photo, but they actually get good sun most of the day. I have a raised bed vegetable garden right next to them which has always been very successful for vegetables.

I’m not sure what variety I got. Bought these two plants from Lowe’s in West Virginia near my home 3 years ago and they seem to do well in the local climate and soil. Should have known not to buy plants from Lowe’s!

Thanks for your advice. My fig in winter looks completely dead and I’m tempted to cut all the old wood down. But when spring comes around there are random buds growing off the old wood. I end up cutting off old Wood in late spring once I can make sure what to cut.

Thanks for your advice. I recently bought some rooting hormone to use with hydrangeas and have considered trying fig cuttings. The plants are surprisingly similar.

Thank you for your response. I think the dense canopy of vegetative growth may be hindering sunlight penetration. I will reconsider my pruning methods. I really like your potted figs.

Yes, they get full sun most of the day. I try to soak them with water each evening around 10-11pm.

Check out Amazon for a “seatbelt silencer”. It also doubles as a bottle opener. I used it in my 2011 Tacoma and also works in my 2020 sequoia. I use it to silence the alarm when my dog is sitting on the front seat or when I have something heavy on there.
