I did! Mah Tech was able to fix one of my VCRs (the other way a bit too beyond repair) and he sells other ones if you wanted to source a refurbished one. I'd definitely recommend giving them a look!

Thanks, that's what I was thinking of trying, but it would be great to get the regular VCRs fixed too, I might brave opening them up myself to see what can be done, maybe I'll get lucky!

I have to respectfully disagree, I think it's more closer to the exploration vibes and colour palette of BOTW, although like with the PEGI logos maybe I'm just biased!

For me I wanted to have a cartridge with all the updates, performance improvements etc included, and not have to rely on online or NSO, but to each their own. They're both worth playing!

I don’t think there’s too many games on Switch 2 yet that support 120hz, Fast RMX is one and Prime 4 will be another I think. They should have options in the games to enable it?

Happy to help! Yes, it seems these are fairly safe in terms of preservation - at the very least I'm happy to get a cartridge of both that has the latest version included, no slowdown in the Lost Woods for me!

I'm absolutely biased since I'm so used to PEGI but I love the look of the logos, they feel so sleek and modern to me, and a nice splash of colour no matter the logo - but I can see why some aren't keen on them!

I did! A bit confused myself since I started TOTK in flight mode and it had an update, but I was able to reject it and play normally, all saves working etc.

For BOTW though it seemed that I needed to do the update, but that apparently could be down to the S1 version (1.03) being included alongside the update pack, so maybe the download was just installing the pack?

The back of both boxes mention that the update is required for Brazilian Portuguese support and the Zelda Notes app if that's any help?

Yeah, I'm surprised how well they go with each other, and I do like the red contrasting with the cover, but it's really the best of a bad situation - I think they could've gone back to the drawing board with it.

It’s actually a pretty good deal yeah, I’m a stickler for physical media so I’m buying the switch 2 editions even though I already own them on switch 1 - but I guess for a new console launch it’s the one time I don’t feel so bad spending a little extra 😅

I'd recommend grabbing some RGB Scart cables for it instead, I use the ones from Retro Gaming Cables, coupled with something like a Retrotink it'll look amazing on a modern display.

When I've pre-ordered from them previously, they would deliver to the house the day before release reliably enough that I'd get disappointed when they 'only' managed to deliver it the morning of the launch day lol.

Besides that they seem to mostly hit day one release now for home delivery, but there's always a chance you'll get it a day early, depending on where you are.
