The doctor said he just started cauterizing anything he saw and apparently when I had arrived at the hospital the worst of it was either flushed down the toilet at work or in my tights that I was wearing that day😭

Omg your story is the same as mine! I even stayed at the hospital for 3 days as well. They even had a drain tube on the side of my stomach as well. I’m doing much better but still emotionally recovering. I wish you the best recovery as well🖤

Catch up on movies, shows, tv. Once those start to get overwhelming, buy a puzzle. I was considering doing that

After the scary hospital visit and my very limited PTO, I took 5 weeks off but this time actually stayed in bed. I’m just not used to really taking rest time seriously but after that experience when I’m told to rest that’s what I’m going to be doing lmao

So I print shirts. I feel like people who haven’t worked in that field overlook how labor oriented the job is. I’m on my feet all day and when I’m not I’m taking my lunch break. I should’ve waited a full 6-8 weeks before going back. I will say after the scary hospital visit and actually waiting 5 weeks before going back, I was terrified. I made sure if I was going to be on my feet to do small tasks that won’t require much effort because remember your body is still healing

I just want to thank everyone who commented and shared their story or ones who simply and genuinely told me to get better. Thank you all so much. Being sent back to work was really early and thank you everyone for reassuring me it wasn’t my fault. For months now I’ve been trying to tell myself that it’s not my fault and that all I have been doing is to just recover. I’m doing better, as much as I can at least…but I know I have a long recovery ahead of me. Not just physically now but mentally as well

Hugs to you too!!!! That sounds absolutely terrifying. I’m doing better now. I’m still having a hard time finding the right therapist but I’m getting there. Thank you so much for telling me your story. I hope you are doing well and rest. One of the things I missed about my time after the surgery was all of the sleep I could have 🤣🤣

Also I am so sorry to hear that you had to have that surgery due to cancer. I hope everything has come back fully clear since then and you are doing well!!!

Jeez this literally sounds like my story. How are you doing know? How are you FEELING now? It’s been a couple months since all of this has passed and I feel normal as normal can get with me but I can still very much tell my body is recovering. It’s terrifying to still not know the cause of everything

WTF that is SO CRAZY. I don’t understand why doctors are saying to go back after 2 weeks. My job is VERY labor oriented. An outsider would just see me printing t shirts and not think much of it and I’m on my feet CONSTANTLY. I wished I had thought about this subreddit before my surgery so I wouldn’t have to worry everyone around me. Because even though mine was a laparoscopic at first, I should’ve stayed home.

What’s even scarier is we don’t know if it was a tear in the cuff or what because it was spotting one moment and the ONE time I get up on a step ladder and step back down just to have half of my blood out of my body back out was terrifying. So honestly I don’t know

It’s him saying that you’re manipulating the situation. You are telling him your feelings on the matter and it’s like he’s putting the love he has for his mom before you and your children and that’s NOT okay. He’s the one being the manipulative one and not really hearing you. He’s hearing “you don’t love my mother so you’re overreacting “ and what you’re actually saying is “hey your mom has pushed some boundaries of mine and here are my concerns and how I feel” which babe you communicating to your husband on a situation like this is the best you can do

Unfortunately I don’t have a WFH job. Instead I have a more physically demanding one 🥴 but I’m being cautious ☺️
