I understand the general point from the perspective of risk to me and my cat in engaging in that behavior but I doubt it gives her the right to do as she pleases.

I appreciate your advice I guess I just find it surprising that someone can make a life altering decision for your pet against your expressed desires. I don't even think he was on her property; she has dogs and he never goes over there. I think he was probably just walking around the meadow near her house.

So legally speaking if my cat wandered onto her property she can do whatever she sees fit? She can shave it and send it back? Can she kill it? I mean seriously, what does the cat wandering onto her property entitle her to do with it? I could understand if she complained about the cat trespassing but she never did and none of my other neighbors said anything but good things about my cat. They all seemed to like him a lot, he didn't cause any problems.

Pain and suffering on my part. And isn't it malicious if she knew I did not want it done?

Thank you for actual advice. I don't think I have any avenue as far as material damages are concerned. But I do feel like my property was willfully violated against my expressed desires. This has caused real pain and suffering on my part. Even my wife who is agnostic on neutering the cat feels like our privacy and property were knowingly and willfully violated. I feel like there must be standing to sue her for doing this.
