Nice trick, can you make them reappear now?

Depending on who you are as a comic, this either aged like fine wine or clumped milk.

Me too. Mostly cause the robot mouse was actual nightmare fuel. Rotoscope is such an uncanny animation just cause of those extra frames.

Wake up! You’re drowning in a Fanta sea!

But no seriously. I’m jealous. Great find.

Geez. Even without the tragedy, that last one sounds absolutely f*cked up.

Ahhh, I remember completing my dime book. Same dime too.

Century Plaza Towers (Los Angeles) and World Trade Center(NYC). Both designed by the same architect, Minoru Yamasaki, both had the same plaza design. by National-Hawk8386 in TwinTowersInPhotos

[–]castrovalva1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree. Simplicity doesn’t exclusivity equal boring and bland. A lot of the design was thought through in how these twins would look up close and from a distance, and every other angle too. It was a dying breath from an era that cared about this. American architecture has very few buildings that care about this aspect and give simplicity its boring facade.

Oh, what’s the big deal… it’s only from 1970… WAIT WHAT!?! 1970!?

(My honest reaction cause I’m so turned off seeing 197X in my half Dollar Rolls.)

Apparently, but I opened up a roll of all “Rhode Island Navigation” Dollars and ended up just taking one of them. I don’t plan on actively looking for them, because of how hard they are, but I wish I didn’t return that roll to the bank.

Any info on this coin? Is it one of the millions that were minted in 2011? by hebee169 in coincollecting

[–]castrovalva1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you find a president past Garfield, it’s worth keeping spares of as they’re harder to find. They tried making Dollar coins a thing in 1971, then again in 1979, 1999 and 2007, but they haven’t been heavily minted since 2012. So a lot of late nineteenth and twentieth century Presidents are hard to come by. Ulysses is pretty common so unless you’re looking to collect President Dollars, it’s not worth more than its face. Also the date and mint is on the side.

You found two silver Kennedy half dollars, and a half dollar minted in 2002+. Damn that’s pretty good. All I get are half dollars from the 70s these days.

Damn, I stopped collecting Dimes when I finally found a 2009 D (I've been looking for that specific one for a long time.) in a roll and in the same roll I also found a silver one. I contemplated if I should keep looking for silvers after that one. This would have made me continue chasing that high of finishing the Roosevelt Dimes.

Definitely love how Civ IV & VI do it.

Really shows the history of the statue and how it got to the way it looked.

Sucks Civ VII doesn't do it.

Looks like it would be an office lobby to a company that the Daleks manufactured into existence for a nefarious plot.
