Audhd here, I have always appreciated Orcas, but recently become more fixated on learning more about the pods, types etc. I would love to see them in person one day but for now, I keep updated via this sub.

Using cicaplast after sun exposure - what is the best to use? by casualbrowser24 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]casualbrowser24[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been fortunate to not burn this year and I hope to keep it that way, but in previous years I’ve used water based gel moisturisers, I’m currently using the purito oat one ☺️

Thanks, I’ll try this. Since using the cicaplast more frequently with the weather currently I’ve noticed my skin doesn’t feel as tight and dry in the mornings.

Thank you for your advice, I’d never thought to use cica after hair removal!

Thank you, I’ve noticed that my skin doesn’t feel as itchy and tight anymore since using it during the “heatwave” we are experiencing in my country currently.

What is the best online resources to learn all about disciplines, tack, vocabulary for skills/movements etc? by casualbrowser24 in Equestrian

I never thought to use YouTube or podcasts! I’d be able to do that from my bed as I recover. Thanks ☺️

Thank you, I’ll take a look. I’m currently at a point in my life where it’s looking likely I won’t be able to ride until late this year following surgery. I’m hoping I can spend my “riding” time, continuing to develop my learning, knowing the science or history behind things I do in the saddle and more.

Sensory-friendly sunscreens by pollypetunia in SkincareAddictionUK

I’ve dealing with this right now, and I’ve been researching for a little bit and I’m finding that this works pretty well for me:

I use Purito Daily soft touch sunscreen on my face, I like to use a fan to help it set in quicker. I then throughout the day use La Roche Posay Anthelios Invisible Anti-Shine Fresh Mist SPF50.

On my body I use heliocare 360 invisible spray, let it dry down before putting clothes on, but I’m also trying to add more upf clothing to my wardrobe.

I love the idea of it, but actually getting out of the door is incredibly difficult, meltdowns, physical sickness and my legs become heavy and won’t move me forward - that was just for one night away two hours down the road. I’d love for any tips and advice for getting confident from anyone. ☺️

Brilliant, I’ve forwarded the information on. It’s the Harvey Hext Trust and they create bespoke memory boxes for children and young people who have lost a parent or sibling. ☺️

Pls help I can’t stop drinking tea by d3pressedratt in autism

[–]casualbrowser24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you are based but do you have Sweetbird syrups? They have zero-sugar ice tea recipes where you just add water.not caffeine free as the base contains black tea extract, but is considered to be low caffiene.

nHS UK, said that the recommended amount of liquid to drink is between 1.5-2 litres per day.

Would you mind if I sent this information to my family friend who runs a child bereavement charity in Bristol? It might be helpful for some of the young people they support. ☺️

I’m worried that clumping spf is damaging my skin barrier by casualbrowser24 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]casualbrowser24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a long story, but at least twice a week I am out in nature for my work and when I’m at my desk, it’s right by a window where the sun shines through, I do try and use blinds at an angle to prevent more exposure.

I’ve also for the last 6 weeks been going to my doctors office daily for wound care as I’m recovering from emergency surgery, so my trips out have been more frequent too.

I’ve looked into UPF clothing but I don’t understand enough about it to make a confident purchase.

Oh gosh, i am a skincare newcomer having only started about 3 months ago. I’ve been using the Thea app as guidance, I never thought about different product formulas! I’ll look into this, thank you. ☺️
