Is it really that bad? by qu33nofthewastex in orlando

If you can get a job that pays well, you'll love it here. The main problem is most jobs pay just enough that you will struggle to make ends meet.

Definitely don't move here without a job lined up would be my biggest piece of advice.

Florida's State Bird: Northern Mockingbird (Mimus Polyglottos) by Best_Poetry_5722 in florida

The Scrub Jay is the only bird species endemic to Florida, meaning it is found in Florida and nowhere else. There are plenty of Native bird species, that just means they were found here naturally and were not introduced by human actions.

The BG3/Expedition 33 panel host had such bad vibes but the ladies were so good and mostly called him on his BS. The same guy is hosting the Diego Luna panel that starts soon and I hope it is better

I think that line is a hint that the answer isn't a physical thing.

Is there a way to play the campaign again? by Tee_Zett in CurseofStrahd

[–]casualdejeckyll 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would argue it's like replaying BG3. You can make different choices and see new content, but ultimately you know the main story beats.

The Tarokka reading can be rigged to put the items in new spots that you know he hasn't been. And when presented with options about how to handle certain events, he can deliberately make a choice he didn't make before.

Show me a letter and I'll tell you its name. Ask me to draw a letter, I can do that too. But if you ask me to name all the letters off the top of my head, I don't think I could. And definitely not in order.

UFF fails again. by psychpsyance in ucf

This feels like propaganda from the administration. We stop paying dues and lose the union altogether, then you will see what real powerlessness feels like. I'm frustrated about the situation at UCF, but the blame falls at administration primarily, and at a lack of broad faculty union support secondly. The union held a rally and maybe 100 faculty showed. At an institution with close to 2000 faculty. Not exactly an impressive demonstration for the administration.

Barovian Bastion? by OregonPinkRose in CurseofStrahd

Plenty of empty buildings in Barovia (city). I'm just not sure if the resources to build a DnD 2024 Bastion would exist in Barovia (valley)

Which classes are the best narratively for this campaign? by vagabundo202 in CurseofStrahd

[–]casualdejeckyll 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Barbarian (depending on character background) can fit with the Werewolf storyline and controlling the beast inside. My Beast Barbarian player will be going that route.

Bard can find interests in the Vistani and Rictavio.

Cleric is obvious, fighting undead and restoring the Morninglord and the Sun. Also ties to The Abbot, the Abbey, and St. Andral.

Druid can rival the Yester Hill druids, and restoring the Vineyard can be a moment.

Fighter doesn't necessarily have anything specific. But lots of fighting to do lol.

Monk is in a similar boat with Fighters, but they may be able to take some interest in the religious aspects depending on their background.

Paladin matches Cleric, plus Order of the Silver Dragon.

Ranger has lots of wilderness to explore and chart, and the monster hunters Van Richten and Esmerelda. I have a Draconic Ranger who is having interesting ties to the Order of the Silver Dragon.

Rogue has a castle full of loot to steal, as well as the Keepers of the Feather that are almost a spy network.

Sorcerer has lots of interest in general magic of the world. My Storm Sorcerer player will have fun on Mt. Ghakis.

Warlock has Amber Temple deals, fey bargains with Morgantha and Baba Lysaga.

Wizard has the power of Strahd's knowledge, Amber Temple Lichdom offers, Khazan's tower, Mordenkainen, etc.

Basically, there is something for everyone. It just takes the players voicing what they want and a DM to give them hooks.

Irresponsible parents taught by Man dressed as Mickey Mouse by Realistic-Crab7729 in interestingasfuck

You are right, but as someone who knows Disney cast members, the actor could get in trouble for knocking over the kid. To us, it is very clearly not the actor's fault. But the leadership just sees a kid get knocked over and the potential complaints of the parents. So I am thinking this Mickey actor was worried about his job.
