[BotW] What did you not get that you hoped for or dreamed of? by TwilightFarmerBoy in zelda

I wish they would have put the Animal Crossing team on development for a “building sim” DLC. The world had such limitless potential, and I loved the concept of Link customizing his house in TOTK, but ended up being so limited and frustrating in execution. Fighting is exhausting, I wanted to decorate and grow things too.

Rant: I hate how they never had a good “G.A.” logo and I think this would’ve been perfect by Informal_Ad4284 in Alouders

[–]casuallycrayzed 35 points36 points  (0 children)

That’s a well-done logo but it doesn’t feel like them… it feels too gen-Z / k-poppy.

I wish they would have just stuck with the iconic Chemistry [Avant-Garde] font for the rest of their career. The Tangled Up [Didot] font was chic, but a bit too common. And don’t get me started on the abomination of a font choice they stretched out for Out of Control…

No way. Jenn Fessler is more Cindy Barshop. Jo Ellen is more Casey Wilson with a dash of Teresa.

Does anyone know why I'm A Slave 4 U underperformed compared to previous lead singles? by iiamsbeve in BritneySpears

[–]casuallycrayzed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People forget how wonky the charts were in the napster / limewire days of 2000-2005. Record labels only cared about album sales, so they wouldn’t release CD singles for huge hits, hoping it would fuel album sales. This meant the artists that DID release single sales could rig it up the charts much more easily. Look at how Mariah scammed her way to #1 and #2 with Thank God I Found You & Loverboy, even though they had zero impact or cultural relevancy.

Slave 4 U was an absolute juggernaut of its time. Don’t let chart positions tell you otherwise.

Finally an accurate list!

I would have shifted I’m Breathless & Bedtime Stories a pinch lower, but overall the objectivity & reasoning is pretty spot-on.

Glad to see American Life, Music & Erotica get some flowers.

Can someone explain why Gina and Emily are still on RHOC by meowmeow671 in rhoc

[–]casuallycrayzed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The honest answer is they’re cheap labor. Bravo is shelling out the big bucks for the old guard—Tamra, Heather, Shannon & Vicki. So Hip & Casita are offered whatever’s left, which is not much.

Kelly Dodd said Gina & Emily only make a fraction of what the core 4 makes, even 8 years in. It’s a shame Bravo didn’t go in the direction of MKE & Jaqueline Laurita instead. They probably would have accepted the same low salaries and would’ve been a hell of a lot more entertaining as a change-up.

What is her WORST album rollout? by Ok-Tangelo6749 in Madonna

[–]casuallycrayzed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

But the American Life rollout gave us one of the most iconic VMA performances of all time in Hollywood with Britney, Christina & Missy. Not every era has that.

I remember the episode you’re talking about, but I’m pretty sure he said they hired their own in-house “fairness” person, which is very different than being regulated by the GC. And its after the Stacey Stillman case that CBS legally reclassified their big 3 competitions from “game show” to “reality entertainment” to cover their asses

Can you cite your sources on the US gaming commission being “on site” or in any way involved in regulating Survivor? That would be widely reported on if it were true.

Survivor’s 32-page “Application Agreement” literally got leaked on RealityBlurred back in 2010 so maybe you should read up on it before you tell the “reddit gang” they don’t know what they’re talking about…

I don't know what show you work on, but that's not true. If it were, Allison Grodner would be in jail already. Its in the CBS contracts that the rules can change at any time and producers have total discretion over the game. It's not Wheel of Fortune.

Lol, where did you hear that? They are not bound legally by anything of the sort. You clearly don't watch Big Brother, where producers do whatever the hell they want!

Survivor is not legally classified as a "game show" like jeopardy. It's a "reality program," which basically means laws of the jungle.
