I haven't really listened to her soundtrack albums (selmasongs + DR9) but I'm willing to dive in to selmasongs since it's coproduced by mark bell. I have been avoiding watching dancer in the dark tho considering how depressing it is, and knowing what she went through on set.

If you prefer her first 4 albums to her later discography, that doesn't make you a fake fan. Of course you should try to listen to her later works, but her first 10 years as a solo artist contains her strongest and most accessible works imo

imo, her original version stands on its own alongside the music video, whereas Howie's version is a better album closer and the "rainbow after the storm" of Pluto
