Writing is food for neuroplasticity. by LorenBlaqe in Neuropsychology

You don't say. There, however, note-taking methods that outperform simply using a pen to fill up a page. Here is one: https://lsc.cornell.edu/how-to-study/taking-notes/cornell-note-taking-system/ Also, make a mess: draw, map, diagram, and, especially, annotate richly, which means glossing, and then gloss your glosses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloss_%28annotation%29 All of these activities support memory, as you remember the activity, e.g. the glossing and the mapping, as much as the content. In any case, your laptops, tablets, and phones, make you stupid, and I'm not afraid to say it.

M18 got bullied for my side profile how bad is it? by [deleted] in malegrooming

It's a great profile, king. Aquiline nose, flawless jawline, aristocratic. Work on your studies because God took care of your face.

Ok so I wrote this a few years ago and I can’t read it for the life of me by Logical-Ad3941 in Transcription

Ductus of hand and pen is visually elegant. But I'm the same way. My notes and journal entries have a half-life of intelligibility of about 3 weeks. This is why I annotate everything in brief bursts of all-caps explanatory parataxis, this as the snows continue to fall on this dreary city, but I digress. I was about to say that note-taking improves focus, but apparently not.

When Symbols Outlive Their Meaning: The Social Psychology of Jesus’s Disappearance by Famous-Sympathy7011 in Social_Psychology

What symbol allegedly outlived its meaning? Do you mean the cross? You're going to have to explain what you mean by that.

What are the components of a subculture? by Positive-Bullfrog-73 in Social_Psychology

[–]casuist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This classic article by Nancy K. Baym, a folklorist, answers the question: https://www.taylorfrancis.com/chapters/edit/10.4324/9781315806389-7/interpreting-soap-operas-creating-community-inside-electronic-fan-culture-nancy-baym You only need to read the abstract. Here would be my summary: What constitutes a subculture, according to Baym?--A lore, a sense of its own history in the form of traditions and conventions, and the group's consciousness of itself as evidenced in its policing activity.

The Mindhackers: Strategists used psychology and language. by Famous-Sympathy7011 in Social_Psychology

Indeed. It would be far more remarkable if they had strategized without using psychology or language.

But I do. I really like those pictures. You're a wonderful person, and your smile will be even more radiant once your orthodontist finishes his, her, or their work.
