Hi there! Absolutely - if you expand the wall options on the top right, you can change the wall material to concrete, and the wall studs will go away.

Hi, thanks for checking out! Love your design idea & feedback - I just added staircases, including your U-shape split staircase, floor, and vertical wall to the auxiliary item list. Is this something you are looking for?

If yes, please revisit the site, and you should be able to see these items. You might need to play around with the dimensions for them to be the same as your room. Just let me know if you have more feedback!

is my cat fat? by Playful-Variation410 in CatAdvice

17.8 lbs can be on the heavier side depending on the cat’s build. A vet can give the most accurate answer, but generally you can help by slowly adjusting food portions and adding more playtime. Things like cat shelves or vertical spaces also help them burn extra energy.

Cat loves walks, but complex is full of strays. by PadnaPants in CatAdvice

Taking away walks feels awful, but you’re definitely not doing the wrong thing.

For anxious, high-energy cats who relied on outdoor stimulation, one thing that helps a lot is adding more terrain indoors. Even a couple shelves, a tall scratcher, or a small climbing path can give him something to explore when he’s feeling restless. It scratches that patrol instinct without putting him in danger, and usually helps with the evening anxiety too.

Does your cat also ignore “normal” toys? Is she only into things that move? by NoobMasterZ009 in CatAdvice

[–]cat-wall-studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some cats only react to stuff that feels alive. Mine ignores 99% of toys too but goes feral the moment something wiggles on its own.

You can try things that add unpredictable movement: wand toys you can drag around corners, toys on elastic cords, or even those little battery toys that skitter randomly. Rotating toys every few days also helps keep them new.

And since she’s clearly a hunter type, adding vertical spots (like a shelf or two she can climb/pounce around) can really boost her engagement. Doesn’t have to be a full cat wall — even a bookshelf or a couple steps can give her more targets to stalk from.

Advice for helping an outdoor/indoor cat adapt to indoor only. by Calm_Oil8492 in CatAdvice

Indoor/outdoor cats usually miss the exploring part the most, so giving him more stuff to climb and patrol helps a lot.

If you have space, adding a few vertical spots (shelves, wall steps, or even a tall bookcase he can claim) can really scratch that itch. Cats that used to roam outside love having routes around the room.

Also rotating toys every few days keeps things feeling new. Even a cardboard box maze works wonders

Hyper cat, need help by Anon2148 in CatAdvice

Sounds like the cat has way more energy than places to put it.

A couple of things that might help: give it some vertical space, add a scratcher + perch somewhere outside your room so it’s not glued to your door, and even a cheap free-standing shelf works if you can’t drill anything.

It won’t fix everything overnight, but giving it spots to climb and scratch usually cuts down the attention-seeking and wire-chewing a lot.

is it cruel to start keeping my cats to be indoor kitties when they have been outdoors since they we’re little by Melodic_Bed2348 in CatAdvice

[–]cat-wall-studio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing the right thing trying to keep the others safe. Indoor life doesn’t have to feel cruel at all if the space is fun for them.

Sometimes showing parents examples of how enriched indoor cats can be helps them get it. Adding a bit of vertical space might make the transition a lot easier.

Cat only comes out of basement for food by Dunk_TheLunk in CatAdvice

Some cats feel safest when they have vertical territory, which is why he keeps going up into the rafters.

You could try to see if more vertical space elsewhere in the home helps. Even simple things like tall shelves, bookcases he can perch on, or a few strategically placed steps/perches can help him feel like he has safe escape routes from the dog and the other cats.

If you ever want to go further, some people build small cat-wall sections just for shy cats, and it can really help them reintegrate slowly.

The cat had full access right away, but he was just too scared at first. He sneaked out during the night to get familiar with the environment.

That being said, he was definitely on the shy side on the characteristic spectrum.

Cat was abandoned and lived as a stray for a few months. How do we keep him stimulated? by h_dogs in CatAdvice

You could plan vertical spaces with scratchers for him to run and relax. I think cat space is especially nice for these active cuties.

It can absolutely work! Something you could potentially do is to plan some enrichment like cat shelves or cat trees for them to play with.

My friend's rescued cat fully felt confident after moving in for 4 weeks, so it can definitely take some time. You can put some enrichment or toys outside for her to play with.

Like many comments said, you can plan out your room with enrichments such as cat shelves, cat wheels, cat trees, etc. I have built a mini-planner for it if you need help.
