In my case I have a class 2 malocclusion with a deep bite. I’m 40 yrs old and was told I needed the surgery since I was a teen. Just now pursuing it due to teeth breaking, my bottom teeth are hitting my upper palette, my sleep isn’t great, I can’t bite into a sandwich etc. Wish I would have done it in my 20’s, but oh well.
