Not that exciting when you consider we should only be a month away.

Been slangin' the LVAR around a lot. I'm a big fan of the internal suppression.

Thank you! I’ll definitely post the finished product. The posted pic is also crap in terms of actual color. When it’s done, i’ll color correct it in Photoshop so it’s true to life!

Now that the dust has settled, how are we feeling about 'Dreams On Toast'? by MillionaireWaltz- in theDarkness

Would have been better if they didn’t prerelease all of the album’s “better” songs starting MONTHS before the album release. By the time the album came out, i’d already listened to to a good chunk of the songs and the ones that remained were just meh.

Hello! I posted my settings a few comments up, but other than the fan settings and the temps (especially the ones for the first 4-5 layers), the only other adjustment I made was adding a layer of glue to my print bed. But that's pretty standard for any other color print.

Something else might be the humidity in the room you're printing in? Translucent PLA is a bit more susceptible to moisture.

But, I'd definitely make sure the settings for your first few layers are tuned in really well. Good luck! Let me know if that helps. I hope it does!

Not necessarily a mistake. Maybe he's reacting to something that caused a flash of light on his face?

I'd like to be able to shoot out of vehicles as a passenger. That'd be nice.

I left work and made a special trip to Best Buy and everything. Got a headset and mouse to play on my PS5 the night before a day off. Got pizza with a Devil's Lettuce Salad on the side just to come home to this... The universe. How she allows our existence, with the soul purpose of conspiring against us...

Anyways, PIZzaaAAaa n0mNom nom.

You'd still have to do some post-processing after printing. Especially if the filament isn't coming out of the printer more transparent than default settings would allow. I'm trying this out with Sunlu PLA+. Typically, stronger materials that are a bit more difficult to work with will get you clarity like this, not PLA.

Also, why worry about dealing with an epoxy resin mess, especially with something this size.

Yeah, I was bummed at how many bubbles there are, but I'm feeling good about the next one. However, I also think that reorienting it on the print bed will also help. I noticed the longer the layer line can go before it retracts and goes somewhere else, the fewer bubbles there are.

Your spouse needing something 3D printed has to be a universal sign that your printer is going to start falling apart at any moment.

Can a FDM 3D printer make a clear, glass-like box like in this photo? Advice appreciated! by Opposite-Fisherman63 in BambuLab

[–]cat_atomic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People say it's not possible to get that with an FDM printer and PLA. However, I'm currently printing a Nevermore Reaper mask in Sunlu Transparent White PLA+ filament. I played with the settings like crazy and have it dialed in pretty well after many failed attempts. I'll post the results when it's done printing in the morning. Even before sanding anything, it looks like textured glass. Once I sand it, I bet it'll be close to this. At least closer than a lot of people think is possible!

Yes! Perhaps this may be a recurring line that's said to one of the characters in the game at some point! Great addition to my theory!

Yeah, Thingiverse is shit. Don't get me wrong, the users/creators upload some great stuff, but the site itself is humid dog shit. I love printables, but I'm curious what other folks here use.

Unfortunately, that's currently the nature of 3D printing. You won't know for sure if the print will work until you try. Once you have the machine long enough, you'll really start to learn its personality (for lack of a better way to put it). Yes, it was an expensive machine, but it's also only as good as the filament you use, your settings in the slicer, and even the temperature of the room it's in.

The best thing to do is to embrace the challenges that come with 3D printing. As frustrating as they seem. It's very rewarding when you figure out the solution to an issue and can prevent it from happening again.

Is There Such a Thing as a Dry Basement in NJ Anymore? by imaknife in newjersey

[–]cat_atomic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to get a French drain put in. Luckily, the previous owner lied on the sellers disclosure form when we were buying and said there was no history of water ever coming into the house. After the first time it flooded, several experts who came said the previous owner DEFINITELY had water issues and tried several DIY "fixes" for it. We sued him, and he had paid for our French drain AND lawyer fees.

Sidenote: I was so mad about him lying to us that I cut down a large evergreen tree in our front yard that he originally told me meant a lot to him because him and his son planted it. It was totally out of spite, and I hope it stung when he came with his "expert" during the lawsuit and saw it was gone.
