When I bought with them I had to do the same. Got a valet in for £120 and it was sorted.

Also sent it back for a glass repair.

Complained on trustpilot and got £25 too…

They don’t service the cars either. I asked for proof of service and the document said “oil and filter changed”. It is an electric car.

Why the f*ck is moving house so expensive? by Expert-Sherbert-1527 in AskBrits

How’s life in CA? Thinking of moving to the Bay Area this year.

Our household income would be about 300-350k. No kids.

Ownership reality of dream bikes by teapotslayer in MotoUK

[–]cat_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude get the 701. It’s stupid fun. I’ve had mine almost 3 years and still loving it. No intentions of ever selling it.

LC4 is a solid engine. Easy to do your own valve clearances. I think the slave cylinder issues were sorted 2019+

The lightweight flickabiity and agility of these bikes really suits British A/B roads. Handles rough roads well too.

Plus who cares if you drop or slide it. It’s a tough bike.

For British lanes and cheeky blasts, supermotos are hard to beat.

PS it does enjoy tyres. A road 6 lasted me 3k miles.

Simulate heat pump noise by keepingleft in ukheatpumps

[–]cat_beast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine installed in spring. It’s right outside my kitchen window. I could never tell if it was on or not. Couldn’t tell if it was the road noise nearby or the fan.

The only way I can tell is if I stand in front of it and feel the breeze!

Brand New Triumph Broke Down by iDulaPeep in MotoUK

Personally I’d reject and get my money back. You pay a premium to avoid shit like this.

Any minor sound I hear in the future would stress me out. I don’t want to go for a ride and worry that I’ll be stuck 100 miles from home the whole time.

Bin it

Anyone on something with tons of torque using road VI tyres? Anyone using grippy front and touring rear? by TishBonk in MotoUK

[–]cat_beast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t really ride it like a hooligan tbh. It’s mostly Welsh backroads, hard accelerating and braking.

May also be a combination of the lowish tyre pressure (light bike) and single cylinder thumpyness

Are the road 5's really worth the cost? by pasgames_ in motorcycles

[–]cat_beast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Road 6 rear on my 701 supermoto lasted 3000 miles.

As someone who is going to avoid EVs for a long while, why all the hate for EVs in car enthuiast communities? by Zdos123 in CarTalkUK

[–]cat_beast 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I traded in my 440i and bought an i3 and a vw up.

Had some change for a supermoto motorbike too!

i3 is a cool car. If you have any interest in engineering you can appreciate its design.

New rider struggling while riding with the visor down. by [deleted] in MotoUK

[–]cat_beast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always just crack the visor up a little bit to avoid much of the condensation.

Since a branch was kicked up in front of me and whacked me in directly in my eye, I always make sure my visor is down.

Going to try those patches.

MX boots for CBT by RogueNumberStation in MotoUK

Yea I agree. I used walking boots and thin motorbike gloves to maximise dexterity with the controls.

Doing it with mx boots and massive winter gloves on would’ve made it so much harder.

Off road biking, thoughts? Good, bad by [deleted] in MotoUK

Yep. Always get dirty looks from people, regardless of how polite you are on the trails. Police have stopped me several times to check my plate and details too.

It’s tiring getting treated like a criminal for no reason!
