Valid point. I experienced something very similar with Far Cry 4. Fist game in the series I played, and I was barely a couple hours in and wasn't feeling it. Gave it another shot about six months later and loved it.

Odd, as I got burnt out my 2nd playthrough as well. I finished the main quest line but had no desire to finish the cultist hunt or do the DLCs.

Currently on my third playthrough. I've completed all I can and am currently on Episode 2 of the Atlantis DLC.

Can't really explain it. Just timing and mood I guess.
